It's been quite a journey to get here. I've always been known to my friends and family as someone very happy and confident but this year, things challenged that. I was in an incredibly stressful job that was taking a serious toll on me. I was stress eating, so I started gaining weight which made it all even worse. To add to the crazy, during the pandemic I was laid off. With the stress of not having a job and all the worry that comes with COVID, I put on a lot of weight. I got up to my heaviest ever — 267 pounds.

It really affected my confidence. I'm the singer for two cover bands and there were many times where I had a gig and I thought I looked great, but then I'd watch people's videos on social media and get so upset because I didn't like how I looked. I want to look at myself and feel confident when I'm up on stage.

I knew I had to do something, but there wasn't any motivation at the time. Then, my boyfriend proposed to me on my birthday! I thought, "I'm not going to walk down the aisle being at my heaviest." I wasn't doing it for him — I was doing this for me to feel good about getting married. If I'm going to spend my life with him, I want to be healthy!

I knew Jenny Craig worked because I had been on the program in my 20's and lost a considerable amount of weight. I knew I loved the food (I've done other diets and never liked their food much). With Jenny Craig, I loved it and I never felt hungry.

I made a commitment to myself that if I was going to do this, I was going to get to my goal weight and stay there. I've been yo-yoing all my life and I don't want to keep fighting my weight. I want to get to my goal weight and learn how to maintain it. I wanted this to be the end-all-be-all.

I'm not a cook by any means. I tried doing other diets, making my own food, but I don't have the patience for it. All of the food prep didn't work for me. With Jenny, I know what I'm going to eat — it's foolproof.

I'm also always extremely busy. In the search for a new job, I discovered the Ultrasound tech field so now I'm back in school full time, do gigs with two bands, and sing at my church every Friday. I thought it was going to be tricky, but Jenny Craig makes it easy because all the food's right there — I don't have to really prepare anything on my own.

And the food is phenomenal — it's so good. Some of my favorites are the Chicken Ranch Melt and the Pepperoni Pizza. And I'm obsessed with the Classic Cheeseburger.

Intermittent fasting has given me more of a schedule — I feel like I'm using more of my day.

I am a person who stays up very late and I used to have very bad habits of eating late at night. During the pandemic, I didn't have a schedule and I was sleeping until 10 o'clock.

Intermittent fasting on Rapid Results Max helps me because I have a schedule and I know when I'm going to eat. I feel like I'm using more of my day. And I don't even call it fasting. You're sleeping for most of the 14 hours anyway! You're just allowing your body to do what it's supposed to do in the digestion process. Now I stay up late and I don't have a problem. I'm not craving anything!

She's an awesome motivator, and as much as I thought I didn't need to talk to somebody, it really helps. You're sharing with someone that's not your family — who is seeing your journey from another side and who is giving you that motivation and encouraging you.

She also shifted my perspective when it came to the number on the scale. She would remind me of all the non-scale victories I've accomplished — like how picking something off the floor used to leave me huffing and puffing, and now it's not a problem. That has nothing to do with the number on the scale, but it makes me feel great.

As I've been trying to find a silver lining in 2020, I see so many blessings I've experienced with all of this. I've lost 44 pounds and am committed to losing 60 more. Honestly, most of the time it hasn't felt like I've been on a diet because the food's so good. I enjoy what I'm eating and I never feel hungry. It's just been amazing.
