These last two years, I've kind of lost myself along the way, and so building that self-esteem and confidence back up has been challenging. Going out with my friends, doing new things, I would just say, "No, sorry," not because I had anything else to do, but because I couldn't find something to wear or I didn't want to go to the pool with them because I didn't want to be in a swimsuit.

I also hadn’t dated in a long time because I didn't feel comfortable putting myself out there, and I think that Jenny has finally got me on the right path. I feel more confident in my skin to go out there and meet new people, and try to start a new relationship and not feel like they're looking at me, not looking at my weight.

Now I'm reaching out to friends more that I haven't talked to in a while, trying to set up plans for the future. I feel like I'm not as introverted, and becoming a little bit more extroverted again. Just the fact that I don't want to stay at home, that I'm feeling more engaging, is great progress!

I was taking care of other people every day but not taking care of myself. I've been a physical therapist going on 18 years. I feel like you have to be a model of health when you're working in a health profession and asking patients to push themselves. But weighing at times over 200 pounds, I felt inauthentic because I couldn’t really demonstrate the exercises to my patients with good form or do what I was asking of them to do.

Now I can actually demonstrate the exercises without getting out of breath! I've noticed a huge difference and feel more real when I’m asking others to go beyond their comfort zone. In my work, I feel it's brought me so much confidence back. Looking and feeling better and being able to talk and demonstrate the exercises, just gives me loads of confidence that I am that therapist that people come to.

Sasha really has simplified it all for me. It’s funny – in the beginning of my program, I felt like it was way too much food, maybe because I've always felt like on a diet, you can't eat anything. I would tell her, "I don't know, this doesn't seem right. I'm so full all the time." She would reassure me about how the portions and meals are designed and she kept giving me ideas for changing things up!

My coach is tuned into my progress and activity through the Jenny app. She'll text me if something's missing, or if she sees my weight is leveling off. So knowing that Sasha's there to reach out to any time has made a big difference. And having a coach has made me a hundred percent accountable! Without my coach, I don't know if I could've handled this process as well as I am.

Carpe Diem! That’s what Max Up means to me.

Being able to get back out there, living my life how I want to be – traveling, hanging out with friends – actually seizing the day and the world – that’s what Max Up means to me! I want to get back to the person I was pre-pandemic. That's what I've been striving for. My mantra has always been carpe diem and that's where I feel Max Up is taking me!

I feel very optimistic for the future, more confident. I’ve learned new habits, and I love that I’m feeling like the weight I’ve lost isn't coming back – and I'm only halfway there! Before, I was always hungry, not eating and not losing weight. Now I’ve learned how eating is important for weight loss.

I'm willing to try clothes back on again and feel more confident in my day-to-day, which I think then translates to how I come across to others or at work. I’m smiling more! I love that I’m going into this next chapter of my life being hopeful for the future.
