Over the years, Erin joined a variety of exercise classes, avoided her fair share of carbs, and tried to eat lots of veggies.

"Big-boned is how I'd describe myself," she said. "I've always enjoyed a good glass of wine (or more) and a piece (or two) of cake, but overall, I considered myself to be a healthy eater. After both of my pregnancies, I'd put on a few pounds, but my weight really became a problem after turning 40...I couldn't let this trend continue. I needed to lose weight but realized that I couldn't do it by myself. A close friend told me about Jenny Craig, and she suggested that we join the program together. Pushing aside my fears of failure, that is just what we did."

Meeting weekly with my personal coach was a big key to my success. I found the one-on-one consultations to be effective, efficient, and a perfect blend of accountability with a personal touch. I found the structure of the menu plan to be simple and foolproof. For me, Jenny Craig is the “easy” button. It took away the thinking, planning and excuses out of weight loss which was ideal for my busy lifestyle.

The delicious food was perfectly portioned with lots of variety from day to day. I loved the fact that the menu was balanced. I ate a little of everything — sweet treats, savory snacks, carbs, dairy and tons of veggies. Other programs I’ve tried in the past were not sustainable over the long run. I know I can’t maintain a no-carb diet, a sugar free diet, a cabbage soup diet, a juice diet or any other diet that requires me to eliminate entire food groups.

I have the confidence to wear a two-piece bathing suit or a sleeveless top! I have energy to take our new puppy for a run without pain in my knees or joints. Doing active things with my kids in the evening, like taking a family bike ride, is what I look forward to instead of just focusing on what’s for dinner (or dessert).
I'm OK with enjoying some French fries every now and then because I know I can easily jump back on the plan the next day. I love referring others to Jenny Craig when they ask what I’ve done to lose weight. It feels good to inspire and support my friends, family and coworkers who have joined the program and see their success as well. Jenny Craig changed my life. To me, this program is not a diet — it is a sustainable way of life!
