- 1/2 cup
- vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup
- sugar
- 3/4 cup
- molasses
- 1
- egg
- 3 1/2 cups
- all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp
- baking soda
- 2 1/2 tsps
- McCormick® Ground Ginger
- 2 tsps
- McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp
- McCormick® Ground Allspice
- 1/4 tsp
- salt
- Cream vegetable shortening and sugar with electric mixer.
- Add molasses and egg; beat well.
- With a spoon, stir in flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and salt. Dough will be stiff.
- Cover and chill one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Roll out dough on lightly floured cutting board to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut dough with cookie cutter.
- Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Decorate as desired.
