Week 93 01/30/2009
All or Nothing
I’m an all-or-nothing kind of person, so when I met with my trainer for the first time I told him to “kick my butt.” I actually told him that. My goal — as I’ve shared — is to get more toned and bathing-suit ready IF I feel like wearing one, a bikini, that is, on camera, in front of all of you!. Talk about Jenny changing my life. A year ago I wouldn’t have even thought about appearing in a bikini. But if I’m going that route — and that’s a big “if” — then I’m going to go for it. If I’m not 100% bikini body ready (see — all or nothing) I’m not going to do it! But if I am — well — look out.
So my trainer has me doing interval training where I run on the treadmill for five minutes and then run faster for another two and then, finally, I slow down only to run faster again. I feel GREAT afterwards — energized. But during it, well, I sometimes have to push myself to work extra hard. He had me on level 7 this morning and I said “I can't run that fast.” And then he said, “Well, you’re doing it right now aren’t you?”
I swear, that guy…I know it’s working though. So I’ll keep him on my Christmas list. Maybe I’ll send him some of Jenny’s yummy cheese curls.
