Week 91 01/22/2009
Rain
Ok, so my activity plan over Thanksgiving was sort of a bust because it rained and I couldn’t hike as much as I wanted to. Since when does it rain in Arizona? But that’s really no excuse. I should always have exercise DVD’s wherever I go!!! That way, I’ll always have a Plan B.
But I did a great job on portion control. It was fun just being in the kitchen with Tom and cooking, talking and hanging out…a great reminder that not everything in the kitchen has to be about food.
The gumbo the next day (my planned splurge) was incredible. I love this new Bertinelli tradition. We’ll see if Wolfie continues “Gumbo Day” when he’s got a family of his own…a LONG, LONG time from now, ladies.
I’m gearing up for the remainder of the holidays. I plan on taking it easy — laying low with all of the kids at home. And probably spending a lot more time in the kitchen!
