Health Scare
Health ScareI’m currently in Arizona, along with the rest of my family. We’re all here visiting my mother after the biggest health scare of our lives. While on vacation in St, Barts with my dad, my mom suffered from debilitating heart palpitations. She was rushed via medical jet to a hospital (here) where doctors could perform open-heart surgery. After several days in ICU, my mom is now recovering very well. But I can’t shake what the doctor told us. He said that had she not lost the weight (my mom has lost 50 pounds* on Jenny Craig) he wasn’t certain that the outcome would have been the same.
I couldn’t make up a story like this. This is something that really happened…to my mom, to me, to everyone who loves her. So while this ordeal has been very trying and personal, she asked that this message be spread.
