My Jeans Are On Fire!

My Rachael Ray segment aired this week, so all who saw it know what I’m talking about. But those who didn’t catch it…we torched my “fat jeans!” I know that a size 14 isn’t “fat”, but they were my OLD jeans from my OLD life and my OLD way of thinking…or, eating...Having dined out the entire trip, I was reminded of how HUGE the portions are at restaurants!! And when you’re out to eat, you think, ‘Well, they brought it to me, I paid for it, so I’d better eat it.’ I mean, who wants to waste food and money, right? But Jenny’s dining out strategies have really helped me. Especially now that I’m traveling a ton, doing talk shows. I love fish, so salmon or any fresh fish or scallops and steamed veggies are some of my favorite things to order. And the moment I sit down, I ask them to skip the bread. Hey, I’ve got the torched fat jeans to prove that these tips work!

NOW…let’s get to my total weight loss so far. I’m UP .2 lbs* this week. Clearly, I am stuck in a plateau, still hovering at a weight loss total of about 31 lbs*. But my consultant, Kathy, is being so supportive, reminding me that this happens to just about everyone. I’m eating right, I’m working out…my body is just happy here.

But I’m not.

Next week, though, a good friend is visiting from Louisiana – lucky for me, he also happens to be a personal trainer so hopefully I can benefit from some additional tips. .

Anyway, stay tuned. I want to break through this plateau!
