Fresh Start
You know, there’s something to be said for “Spring Cleaning” - in with new, out with the old. At least that’s how it’s been for me this week. It started with me preparing for my trip to Hawaii with Tom and Jenny Craig for a commercial we’re shooting next week. I thought I’d dig deep in my closet to find sundresses, etc., to get a head start on packing. But instead I found myself finally able to PURGE my old clothes…sizes I believe I won’t ever need again. And what was so amazing was how easily I parted with them! Before I used to hoard my bigger clothes, believing that I’d be back in them, eventually. At least that’s how it had been on my roller coaster weight loss efforts in the past. But this week? Buh-bye 14’s, 12’s 10’s…I’m finding you guys a better home. So I donated them.
I really feel like I have a clean, fresh start. I know it’s not the New Year anymore, but for me it sort of is. Because it was this time last year that I was snapped in Hawaii by the paparazzi looking not-so-svelte in my black bathing suit and I still had some weight I wanted to lose. But this year, I’m all about maintaining. My weight, my outlook, my happiness…(which should be pretty easy to do in Hawaii!) I’m even taking surfing lessons. Talk about a workout, not to mention the spandex…
But bring it on, paparazzi. This girl’s riding her wave just fine.
