What are your tips for success?
Hey everybody — hope you all had a good SuperBowl weekend! I’m out here on the road on one of our longest trips of the season. It’s always been hard for me to stay in my normal routine when I can’t eat home-cooked meals, but this year when I’m on the road, I feel much better about all the tools I have to make sure I make the right decisions for my health (Thanks Jenny!). When I first started Jenny Direct, my consultant gave me a lot of tips for eating on the road since I am traveling so much. No matter what the menu is, there are always ways to make it healthy (er). Even if it’s fast food- they have options that are better for you than others. In the end…it’s all about applying what you have learned to make the best choice. Over time, it will get easier to add in a grilled chicken sandwich instead of the burger and fries every time, because you’ll notice a difference in your health for the better. And even if you want to order the burger and fries…I am pretty positive your consultant has taught you portion control. It’s become much easier for me to leave food on my plate knowing that I can eat again later and eat something better. I now know the correct portion sizes for my personal nutritional needs. So…if you’re like me and have to eat out a lot — really practice portion control.
