LISA TALAMINI, RD

Senior Expert, Scientific Communications and Clinical Development

Lisa Talamini has been with Jenny Craig since 1990. She is a Registered Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in program development for weight management and clinical trial design to improve its effectiveness at helping individuals achieve their weight and health goals. In her current role, Lisa drives the pipeline of clinical research aimed at innovation and ongoing improvement of the Jenny Craig and Curves Programs. She also collaborates in the development and execution of the company’s health care strategy. Acting as company representative in science-based endeavors, Lisa is responsible for both internal and external communications regarding ongoing research initiatives within Jenny Craig as well as new developments across the obesity landscape.

Lisa was instrumental in building the original Jenny Craig Medical Advisory Board, to which she has long acted as key company liaison. Working with the current Science Advisory Board, Lisa and the Jenny Craig team of registered dietitians consistently assure that clients receive a program that is safe, effective and evidence-based.

Throughout the years, Lisa has been responsible for development of many of the Jenny Craig menus, educational materials, cookbooks, activity products and the one-on-one motivation-based counseling approach that is a key differentiator of Jenny Craig. Working with the science advisors and independent researchers, she directed the launch of multiple independent clinical trials demonstrating the efficacy of the program for weight loss and diabetes management. Now, she works closely with marketing, product development and operations/training to assure the evidence base behind the Jenny Craig and Curves programs as well as the delivery of their behavioral interventions.

Lisa graduated magna cum laude from California State Polytechnic University with a Bachelor's degree in Foods & Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at LAC-USC Medical Center. She has Certificates of Training in Adult Weight Management, Child and Adolescent Weight Management, Mindfulness-based Eating Awareness Techniques and Motivational Interviewing. Prior to joining Jenny Craig, Lisa had a career in pediatric nutrition, focusing on intensive care/nutrition support, diabetes and kidney dialysis and transplant. To stay current in a diverse field, she maintains membership in several specialty practice groups under the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics including Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness, Diabetes Care and Education and Weight Management; as well as The Obesity Society, The Obesity Society Corporate Advisory Council and the American Academy of Diabetes Educators.

Molly Wangsgaard, MS, RD, NSCA-CPT

Director of Nutrition

Molly Wangsgaard guides the strategy and directs the development and project management of Jenny Craig and Curves Complete programs for healthy weight management. This includes meal plans, program materials, recipes, online content and functionality, client-centered counseling, consumer/staff research, and new program innovations. Ms. Wangsgaard also provides technical expertise in the creation of non-food products such as cookbooks and exercise tools, writes content for curves.com and jennycraig.com, and provides guidance on the enrollment of members with special health conditions.

Prior to joining Jenny Craig, Ms. Wangsgaard served as program dietitian for the Vanderbilt Center for Surgical Weight Loss, where she counseled bariatric surgery patients before and after weight loss surgery and assisted in the creation of nutrition protocols and program materials. She also served as sports dietitian for the Vanderbilt University Athletic Department, where she consulted with teams and counseled individual athletes for improved sports performance and body weight issues. Before that, she was an inpatient clinical dietitian for Vanderbilt University Hospital and an outpatient clinical dietitian for the Vanderbilt Nutrition Clinic, where she counseled adolescents and adults in the areas of weight management, heart health, diabetes and other conditions. During this time, she also served as the Weight Management Newsletter editor for the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy).

Ms. Wangsgaard received Bachelor of Science degrees summa cum laude in human nutrition and kinesiology from Kansas State University, and a Master of Science degree in human nutrition, foods and exercise from Virginia Tech. She was awarded the designation of Registered Dietitian after completing a dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Ms. Wangsgaard is a member of the Academy; the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN) Dietetics Practice Group (DPG); and the Weight Management (WM) DPG where she served on the symposium committee following her term as newsletter editor. In addition, she holds a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration; the Health Promotion Director certification from The Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas; Group Fitness Instructor certification from the American Council on Exercise; and is a National Strength and Conditioning Association–Certified Personal Trainer.

DARCIE ANDERSON

Program Specialist

As a program specialist, Darcie Anderson develops content, tools and strategies for Jenny Craig and Curves Complete programs for healthy weight management. This includes work on meal plans, program materials, recipes, online content and functionality, client-centered counseling, health enrollment materials, research projects, consumer/staff insights, and new program innovations. Ms. Anderson stays current on research, trends and healthcare developments. She also provides expertise in answering nutrition and program questions from our members and staff.

According to Ms. Anderson, being part of the Curves Jenny Craig Program & Science team is a fulfillment of her lifelong focus on health and wellness with an emphasis on food and nutrition. During her college years she studied nutrition and health at the University of Utah. Her love of cooking and creating recipes featuring fresh and nutritious foods led her to start a catering business to promote healthy eating after college. In recent years, Ms. Anderson’s focus has been specific to healthy weight management and wellness at Curves and Jenny Craig. She joined the company as a weight loss consultant, working one-on-one with men and women to help improve their health with the Jenny Craig Program. She later moved to the corporate office and joined the Program & Science team as a program specialist. Working on the type 2 diabetes clinical trial and Jenny Craig for Type 2 program has been a highlight for her personally.

COURTNEY LAMBROW

Program Specialist

As a program specialist, Courtney Lambrow develops content, tools and strategies for Jenny Craig and Curves Complete programs for healthy weight management. This includes work on meal plans, program materials, recipes, online content and functionality, client-centered counseling, health enrollment materials, research projects, consumer/staff insights, and new program innovations. Ms. Lambrow stays current on research, trends and healthcare developments. She also provides expertise in answering nutrition and program questions from our members and staff.

Ms. Lambrow joined Jenny Craig as a weight loss consultant where she gained the experience of one-on-one counseling with members and guided them to successful weight management through the Jenny Craig program. She later moved to the corporate office where she worked as a Service Center Analyst supporting and training center, corporate, and franchise employees on all relevant software and hardware used. Ms. Lambrow then joined the Program & Science team as a program specialist with a focus on menu and recipe development, customer service and training.

Ms. Lambrow received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from James Madison University. While attending the university, she was part of the James Madison Dietetics Association as well as Eta Sigma Gamma: Health Education Honor Society. During her time at James Madison she also completed an internship at Anne Arundel Medical Center as an assistant to clinical dietitians where she helped with nutrition assessments and education for patient care.
