Try this easy-to-make Herbed French Bread recipe to accompany your dinner entrée. This dish uses a loaf of French bread, margarine, parsley flakes, onion powder and thyme.

Ingredients

  • 1  loaf french bread
  • 1/2  cup(s)  butter or margarine, softened
  • 1  tsp  parsley flakes
  • 1/2  tsp  onion powder
  • 1/8  tsp  thyme flakes

Directions

  1. Cut bread diagonally into 1-inch slices, but do not cut through the bottom of loaf.
  2. Place cut bread on piece of aluminum foil large enough to enclose entire loaf.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and spread on both sides of bread slices.
  4. Bring foil up around bread and close tightly.
  5. Bake in 400°F oven 10 minutes or until bread is heated through.
