Ingredients

  • 1/3  cup(s)  bread crumbs
  • 2  Tbsp  Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3/4  tsp  italian seasoning
  • 1/2  tsp  garlic powder
  • 1  pound(s)  boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1  egg, beaten
  • 1  can(s)  8 oz tomato sauce
  • 3/4  cup(s)  mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl.
  2. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then roll in bread crumb mixture to evenly coat.
  3. Place chicken on a baking sheet or jelly-roll pan.
  4. Bake in 375 degree F oven 10 minutes.
  5. Turn chicken over; bake 10 to 12 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  6. Spoon tomato sauce over chicken.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Bake 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
