Looking for a guilt-free way to add zest to your weight loss journey? Try vinegar! Whether you most enjoy balsamic, white, red, malt or another variety, ALL vinegars deliver an ultra-concentrated burst of flavor—and their health benefits may be a welcome surprise, too. Used for centuries around the world to combat a variety of ailments, vinegar is a powerful antioxidant with proven antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.
Ready to add more vinegar to your menu? You’ve probably already tried adding a dash of malt vinegar to your Jenny Craig Fish & Chips…so here are three other creative ways to use it.
1. As a topping
Some of your Jenny Craig favorites are even more special with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar on top. Try it plain with your White Fish & Mushroom Risotto or Margherita Pizza, or mix a tablespoon of low-fat mayo with a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar make an elevated spread for your Chicken Sandwich or Turkey Burger.
2. As a dressing
Balsamic vinegar’s natural sweetness makes it the perfect accompaniment to fresh veggies of any kind. You can make our Balsamic Tomato Caprese either with Jenny Craig Balsamic Dressing, or plain balsamic vinegar and just a teeny drizzle of olive oil. If you’re craving a summery entrée salad, toss a cup of packed spinach with our easy Raspberry Honey Dijon Dressing, a handful of raspberries and a two ounces of grilled, chopped chicken breast. Or take your Tuna Salad Kit to the next level with our Mediterranean Chop Chop Salad with Lemon Yogurt Dressing; white vinegar, garlic and spices make a flavorful finish for this on-the-go Jenny Craig fave.
3. As a sauté
If you’re further along in your Jenny Craig journey and starting to cook your own foods, vinegar’s rich flavors get even more complex and delicious on your stovetop.
