4 Ways to Include Strawberries in your Jenny Craig Menu

Strawberries are a naturally low-calorie, fat-free, sodium-free and cholesterol-free food—making them a great addition to your Jenny Craig weight loss program. But did you know that these tasty, heart-shaped berries are loaded with nutrition, too? High in healthy fiber, strawberries are among the top 20 fruits for antioxidant capacity. One serving (about eight berries) contains more Vitamin C than an orange.

Here are four easy ways to work strawberries into your weekly menu.

1. A la carte.
Something this good doesn’t really need much embellishment. When strawberries are in season (the best months will vary slightly based on where you live), they’re delicious straight from the carton—equal parts tart and sweet, with that wonderful tiny-seed texture and slightly spicy fragrance. During the months when they’re a bit tart, sprinkle them with stevia or drizzle with fat-free, sugar-free chocolate syrup. About 4–6 berries will give you the perfect snack; cutting them up can make them feel like an even bigger indulgence.

2. With breakfast.
Adding strawberries to your Jenny Craig breakfast can go a long way toward curbing hunger throughout the morning.
