This will probably not surprise you, but I am a total foodie, I love good food as much as anyone-maybe more. That's one of the things that convinced me to join Jenny Craig the first time...the food isn't just diet-food-good, it's GOOD-good. I mean, is there any other program where you can get this svelte on Red Velvet Cupcakes? I think not.
So anyway, I was super-psyched to hear that Jenny Craig was introducing NEW ENTREES, and of course my consultant Laura and I got them worked into my weekly menus right away. For breakfast, there are two yummy new sandwiches-my favorite is the Mediterranean Style Egg Sandwich. It's seriously so good that my kids and friends keep grabbing them for themselves!. For lunch, I'm loving the new Southwest Style Chicken Fajita Bowl...so flavorful, so filling. And at dinnertime, I dig into the new Cheesy Chicken Enchilada. With a dollop of low-fat sour cream...IT. IS. SUPREME.
But despair not, Jenny Craig's Chicken Fettuccine. No matter how flat my tummy gets, there's always room in there for you! I promise.
AHA! THE LIGHT BULB GOES ON.

Hello, friends! I am officially back, and I am feeling GREAT. Losing 50 pounds** will do that to you. 50 pounds! Think about it: that's like, FIVE WHOLE LEMURS, not to mention a couple of dress sizes. I'll tell you, it's an amazing feeling. And I have one person to thank: My Jenny Craig consultant, Laura.
I know what you're thinking, she's a celeb and she had some help. Well that's what is so awesome about Jenny Craig; when you join, you get your OWN consultant! My consultant Laura is all about looking ahead to all the little victories we'd have together. Every week, getting a little bit lighter. Feeling a little bit brighter. I don't know how you can go it alone without a coach in your corner.
This time around with Jenny Craig, and with Laura's help, something really just CLICKED for me-a major "light bulb" moment. My biggest realization is that Jenny Craig isn't a quick fix diet... it's a lifestyle. And it works because it's teaching me to make healthier choices every single day. Choices like making regular exercise a part of my life, even though I'm not much of a gym person. Choices like shifting my cooking and eating habits, so I can eat well whether I'm at home, a friend's house, a restaurant... anywhere.
In fact, my new fave hobby? Riding my yellow bike around town and to and from dinner with friends is the best way to be social and get in some exercise. I feel like a kid again!
