JENNY CRAIG, INC., RELOCATES ITS INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS TO CARLSBAD
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA - October 21, 2002 - - Jenny Craig's home office has a new hometown. The weight management firm, previously based in La Jolla, CA, recently moved its center of operations and more than 200 employees to Carlsbad, CA.
Located at 5770 Fleet Street, the new headquarters occupies a two-story, 50,000-square-foot building in the Ocean Terrace Corporate Center. The company sold its previous headquarters building on Torrey Pines Road to National University last summer.
After founding Jenny Craig in Australia nearly two decades ago, Sid and Jenny Craig moved their base of operations to the U.S in 1985. The firm quickly distinguished itself as the preeminent personalized weight management program, emphasizing a balanced, "non-diet" approach that stresses good nutrition and a positive body image. Los Angeles was the first home office city, and shortly after Jenny Craig set its sights southward to San Diego, where it has remained since 1987.

Designed by BréAn Irwin Fox of Facility Solutions, with input and ideas provided by Jenny Craig employees, the new headquarters has a colorful, open, contemporary appeal with integrated work areas to promote teaming and interaction.
