New Vice President, Information Services/CIO Joins Jenny Craig, Inc.

Carlsbad, Calif. (Feb 16, 2007) - On January 2, IT management veteran Shoukry Tiab joined Jenny Craig, Inc. as Vice President, Information Services/Chief Information Officer. With more than 15 years experience in designing and implementing complex systems and services to support corporate operations, Tiab brings recognized leadership abilities and a significant knowledge base to his new position.

As CIO at Alliant International University, a not-for-profit organization with more than 40 years of education history, he built a solid IT team to create internal IT support process and services, and Improved the university educational delivery capabilities by re-designing and deploying a state of the art web integrated Video Conferencing system that enabled students to attend lectures and fully engage remotely and over the web. From October 2000 through June 2006, Tiab served with different capacities including Vice President and Chief Information Officer for New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc. where he developed and implemented Center Management Systems, Learning Management systems, eLearning and eCommerce solutions to meet business objectives and support the operation of the franchisees. Prior to that, he spent eight years at International Education Corporation, half of that as their CIO, where he designed and integrated eLearning plat forms and back office systems and deployed over 21 campus locations nationwide.

Tiab was awarded a BSEE degree in Communications Systems from Cairo University, and an MSEE in Systems Engineering from California State University, Fullerton. In 2006, he became a Certified Information Systems Auditor through the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

In his new position, Tiab is responsible for enhancing information systems for, and support to, more than 3,500 Home Office and Centre employees in North America.
