Joy Behar Takes It Off With Jenny Craig

New Advertising Campaign Spotlights Comedienne's Weight Loss "Schtick"

Carlsbad, CA, September 2, 2003 - Joy Behar, comedienne, author and co-host of ABC's The View, lost more than 23 pounds in 11 weeks on the Jenny Craig Program. Behar, Jenny Craig's most recent celebrity client, appears in commercials for the company beginning September 1.

"I really like the Jenny Craig program and the food tastes great - especially the lasagna," said Behar. "I actually learned how to eat the right proportions, whether at home or dining out. I get to eat a great-tasting snack or meal every few hours, and never feel deprived. Add that to the support of my personal consultant, Laura, and it's been pretty easy. Now, you see a new me, with a new waistline, new designer clothes and a new bathing suit that's already a size too big."

Behar lost 23 pounds by using Jenny Craig's medically sound program consisting of one-on-one consulting, portion-controlled meals, and physical activity.

"We're thrilled about Joy's success on our program, and know she will relate to a lot of people who want to find a healthy, effective way to lose and maintain their weight," said James Evans, Jenny Craig's Chief Executive Officer. "Over the past 20 years, we've helped millions of people just like Joy not only lose weight, but learn how to live healthier, happier lives."

The commercials, which were produced by Johnson|Ukropina Creative Marketing, of Irvine, Calif., will feature before and after shots of Behar along with her personal testimonial about losing weight on the Jenny Craig Program.
