I'll never forget the day the scale topped out at an all-time high of 200 lbs. At 5'5", this was not OK. Did I really let it go this far? Maybe the scale was wrong? Afraid not. The truth was staring me in the eye; I could no longer deny this information. It was time for change. But I had been on diets before; was I going to succeed? I had so far to go; would I ever get there? Did I have the patience? The will power? The confidence? I would soon find out. The next day I started Jenny.
I was expecting to starve myself, to deprive myself, to sacrifice my love of food. This was the only way, right? WRONG! That first month on Jenny was a life-changing experience for me. I have never experienced so many emotional highs and lows, and with the help of my Jenny counselor I was able to get to the root of my dysfunctional relationship with food. I was learning to eat for the first time—the real way. REAL change was happening, and I could feel it. Week after week, pound after pound, one foot in front of the other. It was happening, and it was EASY! My confidence and self-esteem were blooming, and I was doing it! And I continue to do it … not looking back, only forward. Looking forward to the life I was meant to live, to the size I was meant to be, and with the help of Jenny, I know there are no limits to what I can accomplish.
Proudly I am 55 lbs* lighter now and have learned so much. I know that putting my health first makes me a better person—a better mother, wife and friend. Gone are the days of eating my kid's scraps and not making the time to exercise. Gone are the days of rewarding myself with food, or making excuses why I'd never be thin. I rewrote my story and without a doubt, I know for sure ANYONE can do this and there is a way. For me, it was Jenny.
Eternal gratitude to the entire Jenny team who has been there for me every single pound, never giving up on me and empowering me to live the life I know I deserve.
