Many men are using Jenny Craig to help them lose weight and keep it off. Some join with their spouse and others come in on their own. The Jenny Craig Program is designed to help you lose one to two pounds, or 1% of your body weight, per week1. By losing as little as 5-10% of your weight, you can reduce your risks for many chronic health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, stroke, high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, diabetes and certain cancers2. Small weight reductions have also been shown to improve back and joint pain, gallbladder disease and sleep apnea.
A Program Designed to Fit Your Needs
Your Program will be designed specifically for you based on your eating style, activity stage and mindset. For example, if you're like many of our male clients who often eat something just because "it's there," you may be an 'Unconscious Eater.' Your personal Jenny Craig Consultant will offer specific strategies to help you avoid over-eating, and personalize your menu to include your favorite foods and beverages in moderation! When it comes to physical activity, we'll help you to build on your current activity level, and offer you strategies based on your individual needs and preferences.
Effective for Continued Success
If you currently have an "all or nothing" mindset towards weight loss, by eliminating your favorite foods or exercising like crazy, you may be happy to learn that a more moderate approach such as the Jenny Craig Program, can be just as effective and more sustainable long term. The Jenny Craig menus are designed with three meals and three snacks to minimize hunger and maximize energy. You can also add free foods to your menu (non-starchy vegetables, some fruits and calorie-free beverages) in order to keep you satisfied throughout the day. Although we recommend limiting your consumption of alcohol, your Consultant can even work with you to fit a moderate amount alcohol into your menu.
