I am a returning member (even a success story on the JC website) so I want to make sure I stay that way! I'm looking for ideas of how you are spicing up combining some of the snack foods like fruit or milk. I've made a smoothie from a fruit and milk serving, but getting pretty bored.

I'd appreciate any of your ideas!
Thank you!

my consultant said she did cheescake in blender with milk for a frappe like treat.

I like putting yogurt in my shakes so you could do 8oz milk, 6oz yogurt (in place of anytime bar), add banana, 1 serving peanut butter as your 1 fat (in place of salad dressing), and then some chocolate syrup as your limited item for the day.

I also baked peaches added very little brown sugar and topped with cool whip

sometimes i mix yogurt with cool whip and freeze for a nice ice cream like treat and you can add fruits to that

make jello and add fruit to it.

Those are all great suggestions! Especially yogurt and cool whip...I miss ice cream.

How do you make the cheesecake in a blender?

Have you tried "Jenny" approved almost ice cream? It tastes like you shouldn't be eating it..

Strawberry "Ice Cream"

In a blender, combine:
1 cup of fat free milk (your dairy serving)
2 big handfuls of ice
2 teaspoons of powdered strawberry sugar free jello mix (unlimited free serving)
2 to 4 packets of Splenda (or any no cal sweetner) to taste
2 tablespoons of Cool Whip Free (limited free serving)
1 cup frozen strawberries (your fruit serving)

Blend it till everything is smooth.

Pour into a really REALLY big glass and serve!

This is one serving, and it is smoothie like, and really thick. You need a spoon and a straw..

I also have done it with mixed frozen berries, and changed up the jello flavoring depending on what I'm using for fruit.

It will help the ice cream craving.. It is more like a blizzard than ice cream, but whatever... it tastes wonderful. I found it on the boards a long time ago, and fell instantly in love.

FIrst of all, if you're already on maintenance and you're looking to spice things up, you really need to check out the hungrygirl web site. That's right, it's at hungrygirl.com

Here are some smoothie recipes that she has. All of her recipes are low cal and she's CONSTANTLY experimenting with fun sugarfree, low cal ingredients. Really explore the web site because there's MUCH more than this that could work for you (if these look too desserty or too extra, etc.):

http://www.hungry-girl.com/week/weeklydetails.php?isid=1840

You can also get on her mailing list to get an email every day. I'm ALMOST at maintenance (though I had a set back this week...hmmpf.... but when I'm there, I'm totally gonna pillage the hungry girl recipes. In fact, I already bought her cook book!

Hope it helps!
