I'm new to JC...only been on it for 5 days. I'm hungry, but surviving. I have a question about the unlimited veggies. Does that mean I can have unlimited soup if I use the veggies marked as "unlimited". Can I have pickles? I can't find anything about pickles or pickled peppers. I'm very confused on this and I've been so hungry that I find myself having 2 salads for lunch + JC meal. Is this too much? Will I lose weight? I will meet my consultant in a couple of days, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere in here or in the book I was given. Also...winter squash is starchy but are all squashes starchy? Help!

I'm new too, but I see pickles listed under the FREE FOODS Unlimited "Flavor Enhancers." I also see Spaghetti Squash and Summer Squash (crookneck, yellow) listed under FREE FOODS Unlimited "Non-Starchy Vegetables (Without Added Fat). They're listed on the back of the Planned Menu. I hope this helps.

thanks so much! unfortunately I was looking in the book instead of the back of the menu plan. I hang the menu on the fridge so I forgot to check the back!

Olives are a fat. 8 equal one fat exchange, per the JC Grocery List. If I eat a bigger olive, I will eat 4 for one fat.

jbussboys, I eat a LOT of vegetables a day. It was hard for me in the beginning to really see them as free, but they are. I was hungry the first week, but then I started eating extra veggies and that really helped. Also, if I get hungry at night I'll heat up some frozen veggies as well.

Hi--You can always go to the forum link "ask the Dietician" They can answer all your questions too. I use them alot!

I am not a soup or Vegi person, but found a saving grace for me with hunger is making big batch of vegi soup, i add diced jalapeno tomatos to give it some kick, and it is soooooo good I freez portions to pull out during the week. I seem to be bad getting salads in only because I find it annying the lettuce only last 3 days, so the soup has worked out great. This is in addition to other vegi's I add to volumize JC food.
