I've been doing the planned menus for 7 weeks now and I've lost 24 lbs. But there is a growing number of items that I really don't want to eat again. When I get my planned menu, there are usually atleast 3 items that I switch for something else. My consultant told me I should switch no more than 3 items or else I'll lose the benefit of having a planned menu.
My question is, how do I go about making my own menu? And also, do people typically lose more weight on a planned menu or when they plan their own menu?

I never did planned menu so I can't answer your question in terms of the Benefit from one or the other.
When I do my own menu I choose based on nutritional info which you can print from this website, I try to get lower sodium items, Higher fiber, protein items. prior to utilizing that tool to make my choices, One week I thought I have an aweful lot of carb/protein items so my consultant helped me change it up a bit. Also you have to remember to check what items you need to add addt'l servings of stuff. Like if I eat the cran almond cereal, I have to had 1 meat serving into my day somewhere. But again my consultant is awesome and works with me, she is even willing to take my selections and plan out my week for me, but I always do it myself because i have no come accustomed to Friday Fish night, Sat. Pizza night, Sunday Turkey/gravy night... LOL.

I'd really appreciate it if you could post a list of the JC foods that are highest in protein & fiber, which you seem to be concentrating on. Or maybe a few of your typical daily meal plans. Thanks.

If you use the menu planner on this website it will help you customize the menu. Depending on your calorie level, it will tell you if you need to add a starch or meat or fat, etc. depending on what meal you choose.
The menu planner is great!
