My question is how much weight did you lose before someone said "Hey did you lose weight?" Just wondering.

At least 15 pounds, I was called skinny today and I can't tell you the last time I heard that, might have been high school! Hang in there you will make it!!!

Some people comment around 10 pounds. I, however, had a girl who worked 10 feet away from me not comment until I had lost SIXTY pounds! And even then she was actually commenting that I changed my wedding ring set to an anniversary band... DUH! the wedding set was 2 sizes too small and was falling off!!

You may find that people are more hesitant than ever to comment. Too many people have been burned by open-mouth-insert-foot comments like "when are you due?" or by congratulating someone for losing weight when in fact they have something horrible going on in their lives like cancer or death of a loved one.

The heavier you are, the longer it will take people to really notice. I think I lost about 35 pounds before everyone I worked with started noticing when I initially started JC back in 2002. When I restarted last year, I again lost at least 30 pounds before extended family started to notice (I dont have co-workers anymore). After 40-50 down is when people in my exersize classes started saying something about it (maybe because I didn't start the classes until I was down about 25-30).

People will have an easier time noticing when you wear clothes that fit. Its hard to tell exactly that someone has lost when they wear baggy clothes. I try to buy new clothes every 25-30 lbs. and it really makes a difference. I even needed to buy new shoes because my feet went from an 8 or 8 1/2 wide to a 7!
