How do you make this item so the tortilla doesn't taste like cardboard? HELP! The filling is decent, but I never eat the tortilla.

I just crisp it up on purpose and eat it like a chip. It doesn't taste any better than cardboard, but it tricks my head into thinking it might improve with each bite.

I bake it in the oven and top with a little ff sour cream and salsa! I LOVE THIS DISH:)

I learned from here a long time ago to :

Wet a paper towel, wrap it around the whole burrito

microwave as normal. the tortilla will be nice and soft

I also, totally defrost the burrito.

Wet the tortilla, then unwrap it

put filling in a bowl, add salsa and heat in microwave

Cut tortilla into chips

arrange on cookie sheet inside toaster ovn, and bake till crisp (not very long!)

add sour cream to filling and eat like nachos

I take it out of the packaging frozen and put it in a microwavable glass dish I use for taking lunch to work. I top it with some Rotel or salsa and seal up the lid. By lunch it is half unfrozen and I nuke it for just 2-3 minutes. Sometimes I bring along some low aft sour cream or low fat cheese to add the top.

It is just about my favorite lunch. I used to pare it with the Mexican Soupitizer when that was still offered. Now it is pretty much a small bowl of salad.
