There are so many factors involved that its really difficult to say. Just keep in mind that the first 2-3 weeks loss will be mainly water weight. Some people have a LOT of water weight to loose and will be down ten in no time at all, and some people have very little and they often become frustrated with that. The thing to keep in mind is that you want to loose FAT, so if you dont loose 5 lbs. of water weight your first week dont despair because its not the water weight that needs to disappear anyhow.
Take care,
Angela

First day went well. Today I am dealing with emotional issues, but won't let this stop me from my goal. Food will not make things better. Today is my rest day for working out, tomorrow I will ride my bike, try to get in 30+ miles, hope it is not too hot.

The weekend went really well. Saturday I went out and cycled 44 miles, although I don't think I had enough gas in the tank. This morning I was at 186. The scale is going down!! 8 more to go for the first 10 pounds.

Dear _Jackie_,
You are well on your way :-) Just remember slow and steady, dont try to lose more than 2 lbs a week....you didn't put this weight on overnight, it ain't gonna come off overnight:-) Remember to time your bike rides, and log it in the activity section. Its nice to look at every once in awhile. I find doing a "big workout" in the beginning of your week and then smaller ones the rest of the week works well. Just keeping the muscles nice and limber throughout the week keeps you on track...I commend you on your bike riding...I am a walker so I do that....my balance is horrendous, so I will stick with walking...:-) Annr

I have been on the plan for 3 weeks and lost 4 pounds. I did not have the big weight loss the first week. But the scale is working in the right direction. I do look much better and the bloat is gone. My face looks better and I am trying to be positive. I work out often and maybe I am building muscle and slowing down the process. I really do not know. Usually I will loose 5-7 pounds in the first week. Not happening here. However, I was not eating as much fruits and veggies.

Week one went very well. I lost 5.6 pounds. I did have one bump in the road where I went way over my calorie intake, but I jumped right back on. I learned this week that TV=Food. I need to stay away from afternoon TV viewing. I know this first week loss is excess water and clearing of my digestive track, but it has to be gotten rid of. I look forward to week two...here I go!!

Thank you! I know it will be a slow process, trying to lose 1% of my body weight per week, which is 1 to 2 pounds. I ride my bike a lot, I belong to a bike climb..exercise isn't an issue...food is my problem. Looks like you are doing very well. Congrats!!
