Full Version: Pedometer Tracking

I started wearing a pedometer yesterday. I wanted to add my steps into the activity tracker this morning, but I can't figure out how to do it. I saw where you can select "walking" as an activity, but it's asking for the amount of time I walked versus the number of steps. I had been planning to track my steps per day, all day, versus my treadmill walking, for example.

Can you help me figure out how to do this?

Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry,

One mile is equal to approximately 2,000 steps. In order for you to track your walk using the online Activity Tracker, you will need to find out the average time it takes you to complete one mile or the speed (i.e. 3.0 miles per hour) that you walk one mile. For example, if you walk at a 3.0 mph pace, your mile time will average about 20 minutes. So, if your pedometer shows 6,000 steps, this is equal to about 3 miles or 60 minutes and you can input this information into the online Activity Tracker. You can also estimate the minutes spent walking and input this information under the “Walking for pleasure” category in the Activity Tracker.

Also, if you have a Jenny Craig Pedometer, the pedometer will track your steps as well as the number of calories burned.

Another option for tracking your steps is to print out one of the Walking Tracking Sheets in the article section of the Jenny Craig Website under the Body articles. You can choose one of these sheets to track your steps and make your walk more fun.
