Dear Courtney B,
First, let me tell you, you are doing great! Just breathe.....Maybe the people that you are seeing losing all that weight is because we have alot to lose. I have lost 15 lbs since Sept 4th, but I have 100 lbs to lose, so just don't compare...everyone of us loses at a different pace:-) Also, tell me what exercise program you have going for you, (if I may ask). I am a walker, partly because I don't drive, so I do a big walk the start of my week (about 4-5 miles) then smaller ones the rest of the week. This seems to keep my "inner furnace lit". Each person is different in the exercise area, so anything that gets your heart pumping is a good thing. Dang I sound like Martha Stewart.. You know, we are our worst critic, so cut yourself some slack:-) Annr

Although I completely understand wanting it go go fast...hang in there and be patient. We are all so different. I am amazed when I read things in the forum how different each journey is. However, when I think about genetics and the vast diversity of the worlds we live in and the lives we lead, it kind of makes sense.
I reached my goal weight yesterday. Mind you I started in February of this year. I had about 11-13 pounds to lose. For me, when I put everything in my life aside, so that I ate, breathed and slept JC, I lost consistently... one pound a week. But then summer came and vacation and birthdays and sickness and tragedy and celebration and all that stuff that can't be controlled. And my weight loss stalled. But I hung in there. Didn't really go back up. Held the losses and kept working at incorporating it all into my life. And slowly but surely, it has come off. So for me, that's 13 pounds in 9 months. I hope that's not discouraging because you are different and are obviously already off to a great start! Just want to encourage you to hang on if your losses aren't as fast as you'd like. It will work, you've already proven that.
Congratulations and best of luck!
