Hello,

I was recently not eating on the plan 100% due to a few events, but now for the past week have been 100% and have found such a great motivation within myself..... This leads to my disappointment. I am 5'3, 20yrs, and

and pretty active (6 days a week < mostly running and spinning, also elliptical and 2+ days ST>) I am on the 1200 plan but my ladies at the JCC told me that if I get hungry especially on days I run, to eat an extra piece of protein ( like a hard boiled egg...) I only dropped 1.5 this week, which is OK with me, but what is hard for me is that my clothes don't feel as loose as the first time I started. I thought after a week I would notice more again just like I did the first week or so.

Does anyone know what gives? I am sticking with it and want to lose the weight SO BAD and am trying SO HARD!!! I know I am staying in ranges and stuff and I am just seeing if anyone out there has any advice, or similar situation.... just looking into the world of cyber-help!!

Hello,
I know this isnt answering your post but your about my size and height and I wanted to know if this program really works. I havent lost anything so far and today is my last day for week one. Like you I am also active(mostly walking a ton because i cant run and I dance competitively) and I am on the 1200cal plan. However I am not used to eating this much in a day and am worried its going to backfire an make me gain weight.

Please email at mackenziemcabee@comcast.net to repsond or write here and ill check later

hey there,

yes it does work, and my lady actually moved me up to 1500 calories for this week. just wait it out, because we are small i think we are going to lose more inches rather than pounds, and it IS going to be slow... and it you are super active, you might need to eat more ( its just an extra fruit and dairy serving) I am nervous too, so let me know how your next week goes and we can keep each other updated! It will happen dont worry!! what did your JCC say?

You're doing great! 1.5 lbs in one week is fantastic. Think of the math that is involved. 1 pound is equal to 3500 calories, therefore in order to lose 1.5 lbs in one week you burned an extra 5250 calories above what you have eaten. This is a huge feat when you are already fairly tiny because you burn less calories than someone who is larger. That is why many who are larger lose more at first, but that even slows down for them. Stay positive. Also, if you were to lose 1.5 lbs each week for the next 5 weeks then you'll be down 7.5 lbs and be at your goal. That is not a lot of time, even if it took 10 weeks that would be a good amount of time.
