GTA Buddies are you out there?

Just before I joined Jenny Craig I finally had a doctor tell me that my weight isn't all my fault. What a revelation! Metabolism, age, white collar jobs, even living in bedroom communities can all be contributing factors to our weight gain.

Then I met my Jenny Consultant who told me that once engaged in the cycle, it's hard to get out of without a strong support network. The more weight we carry, the more fuel we need to run the size of our bodies. The more we fuel we take in, the more we gain... How did I not know this?

I'm just beginning my third week on the program and have lost 11 pounds. While my goal weight is still way out on the horizon, I feel empowered. At last I've found help. Not judgement, or some doctor or another saying I need to lose weight but never helping me understand how I got here in the first place.

After all the yoyo dieting that never succeeded, I finally believe I'm going to make it.

I'm really enjoying the menus, the guilt free eating of cake, the crunch factor of little nibbles and the accountability of visiting my consultant each week.

Here's to being just Bold and Beautiful again!

Hiya!

I also have joined around the same time you have and live in the GTA. Congrats on your big loss so far!

Hello! I just started last Saturday and am very excited to be on Jenny!
I used it to lose weight for my wedding 8 years ago and was extremely successful. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months at that time. Now I have to lose it all again plus some but I know it will work!
I also started going to the gym this week and have gone 3x.
Crazy, as I'm only on day 5 but I already feel better.
I had the worst thing happen at the gym, someone approached me to do plus size modeling. I've been living in denial for so long that I thought she was crazy. If that had happened to me even just last week I would have freaked, but since I am now doing something about my weight (Jenny & exercising) I just blew it off.

I live in the GTA as well and go to the bay/bloor location.

The best thing I did 8 years ago was to get the lifetime membership so when I returned I didn't have any start up costs.

I am on the vegetarian program -

I love the breakfasts - the french toast, the cereals.....can't wait to have the pancakes with veg sausge again

also really like the lasagna, the cheesy enchilada was fairly good

I love the cheesy broccoli potato and of course each and every snack is yummy!

what are some of your favourite meals?
