Hello all, I just reactivated my account this week after 1 1/2 years. The first time, I thouroughly enjoyed it but was a sales rep. which made the program difficult. I was also in the habit of drinking 3 alcholic bevs. a day due to the stress of my high-pressured pharma job. I've since been laid off, and need to lose 50 pounds. My goal is to accomplish this in 5 months. I'm gradually getting back up to my 2 hour fitness routine 5x a week (Iweighed 120 2 years ago!) Basically, I need to double Valerie's weightloss (she's such a doll!) in order to make my goal. My 40th b-day is in feb so I have lots of motivation. The biggest challenge is abstince from wine, etc. (old habits die hard!), and I'm so committed now that time and MONEY (for the first time) is an obstacle and a motivating factor at the same time. I've been laid off from my lucrative job (thank god, on one level) but every peeny counts and I need to follow this to a "T" to get my money's worth, i.e. results I need.

I just wanted to introduce myself and learn about this internet tool. It's weird that neither of my centers talked about this helpful resource. I'll be calling my center tomorrow.

If anybody is out there.........please give a shout-out...so I know I'm doing this correctly!

Thanks, in advance......and WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Hello Heathra,
I'm back from a 1 1/2 "hiatus" myself. Starting heavier than last time, but feeling wiser about my triggers. We can do this biggrin.gif !

Every week I tell my JCC about some new feature I'm using on the website and every week she says how she really should make time to check out the etools, forum, etc. She's never been on the JC website. blink.gif I really wish the JC folks would encourage clients to check out all that's here

Yes, we CAN do this ..

My weigh-in is on monday. I'll not accept anything less then a 4-5 lb weight loss after my hardwork. If I drank my martini's I skip dinner to account for that splurge.
I do love this program....the food is delicious and the discipline makes me feel as if I have a professional in the house which is particularly helpful because I currently am partaking in the single life.

I'll keep you all posted on how I do!

mine's on Monday too. Best of luck. Here's a cyber toast to 5#'s down biggrin.gif

Hi Ladies! I too started up again after a year-plus long "break" and coming back realizing I'd gained it all back plus ten pounds was the most depressing moment I can remember!!!

I started back in December and I've lost 30 so far, which I was disappointed about last month as I had wanted to lose 10 lbs a month and be done by July/August, but I have decided as long as I'm losing, I'm happy.

A couple months ago I started taking Slimquick and CLA pills, as well as a tea called Bojemni beauty tea which a girlfriend of mine's dad swears by (funny connection for a "beauty" tea I know!) I've since started losing pounds per week instead of merely ounces.

Have you noticed it coming off slower this time around? I know I definitely had that problem for the first few months. First time around I could cheat like crazy and still lose 4 lbs / week. this time around I'd step one cookie out of line and would gain!

I'm determined to lose, though I still haven't been able to get myself exercising. I work two jobs and what precious time I Have at home I tend to bubble bath and relax, or try and get out with friends.

Did everyone see Kirstie Alley on Oprah? I cried when she was telling her story, she sounded just like I did. I'll never forgive myself for quitting where I was (10 lbs from my goal!!!), or for not seeing just how darned skinny I had gotten! It was like anorexia for tubby girls or something. I could see the pounds coming off on the scale, but I was still wearing the same clothes and couldn't see it in my body! Which is another reason I'd like to start exercising, I'd like to see more of an inch loss!!!

Well thats my story! I'm determined and very motivated to get to where my body didn't go the first time, to GOAL!
