Jenny Craig > Welcome > Thinking about joining?

I joined JC a long time ago and paid some type of membership fee that would allow me to never have to pay this again. Not sure if I can find my paperwork but the Center I went to is still open. Do they still charge a fee to join or just for the food? What are these 50% coupons everyone is talking about? How much can I expct to pay per week? I have about 30 lbs. to lose. Thanks!

You will have to contact the center to see how much it will cost to re-instate your membership. I think there are some guidelines based on what membership you started with. You may have to pay a fee to get going again. After that, it would be only your food cost. Most of us are spending between $100 - $120/week on food plus whatever you add from the grocery store (veggies, yogurt, etc). A few have said they get it under $100/week but I can't seem to do it!

The 50% off coupon is a "refer-a-friend" coupon that you get when you sign up for a new membership. It alllows another person to join for 1/2 off.

Good luck.

I had a platinum membership and payed nothing to restart. I couldnt believe the food though. I am on a 1200 calorie diet and I forked out 184 dollars for the FIRST WEEk. Next week should be 150! Quite a bit more then when I first started!

I was a member over 2 years ago, and when I joined it was a conversion fee of $49, that's it. The food cost me on average $100-$124

It sounds like you have a Platinum Lifetime membership. You don't need top pay anything to re-start, though they may offer you an "upgrade" to the PSP program, which will give you $50 off the first food order and $50 off your halfway food order, and 10% off products like the cookbooks and exercise stuff.

When I joined in 2000, the food cost me about $110 a week for the planned menu. The basic planned menu similar to what we had back then, will cost between $118 and $122 per week. That's not bad for nine years, to have it only go up that much. One thing they have done is to offer more optional extras, like the soupitizers and Anytime bars, but you can fix your own free veggie soup to replace the soupitizers if you need them, and the substitute for the Anytime bars is a milk exchange and a vitamin, so if you'd rather do that, it will cost you considerably less.
