Water retention is transient -- it will rise and fall.
When it is really hot and no A/C, we can tend to feel lethargic. Try getting outside and moving in the open air before sunrise or after sunset. The movement will help circulate the lymph in your lymphatic system, where many of us retain fluids. Reward yourself with a cool shower afterwards, or even a soak in a cool bubblebath!
Most of all, hang in there: this is less about what we weigh on any one day or week, and more about how we do month over month over month. It is a zig-zag path, what we aim for is the overall trend to be in a healthy direction.
Best wishes!

OK- So I did really great my first week on JC and lost 2 pounds. It was not easy I'll tell you-I have an almost 3 year old around and those yummy little snacks they eat. geez! Took just about all I had not to eat some cheezits! But this week is a little differant. Its summer and the heat where I live is slated to increase each day to almost 100 degrees. We don't have A/C and its just plain hot in or house. I apparently retain fluid when it gets hot and was wondering if anyone else out there experienced the same issues. I have not stepped on the scale for fear that 2 pounds of water have krept back on. My councelor is via phone so I don't have to see her- but its going tro be such a let down for me if the weight came back- anyone have any suggestions???
