Yes, I am concerned too. I've given feedback to JC that we would prefer more organic and whole food options.
If you are doing meals on your own, any good vegetarian cookbook can provide menu ideas that are nourishing and can be cost saving -- it doesn't get much cheaper than the old veggie stand-by of rice and beans!
If like me you need the convenience of prepared and/or frozen foods, try Amy's brand. Cedarlane also is good, however watch the calorie levels. I've found Kashi frozen foods to have odd flavor and consistency, but others may like it. If you have a Whole Foods nearby, their frozen foods section contains healthier options than most supermarkets, and you can ask your supermarket to carry any items that you discover you like. And veggie burgers are a good option too, sometimes Costco carries them in frozen foods section -- indeed, sometimes Costco carries other vegetarian options (like canned Amy's soups) and you can stock up on well-priced food that way.
Best wishes!

i joined jenny a few weeks ago. the first week i bought all the veggie options they had but found it was WAY too expensive especially because my daughter is doing it also and with all the fruit, yogurt, veggies, milk etc PLUS the jenny food, it cost me over $300 per week. i dont even MAKE that much at work!!!!
ok, so i have limited my jenny meals and have substituted other frozen veggie meals. when reading labels, i am FLOORED by all the chemicals in the jenny meals and lean cuisine/smart ones, etc. any one else concerned? i know that losing weight is important ( i have about 80 pounds to lose) but am i sacrificing good health? i would prefer all natural. for example, would it be healthier to buy my own potatoes, add broccoli and a little cheese? i am very frustrated. i love the convenience but i am concerned about what they are putting in my food.
just a note, i lost 3 pounds first week, stayed same second and third doing it MY way!!!! any suggestions????
