I've seen this mentioned on a few other threads, now I'd like some feedback from those of you that have tried or ARE doing this workout program. With it being summer, I have the time to try things other than my tried-and-true treadmill and some free-weights.
So...what do think about the program as far as "do-ability", effectiveness, cost, etc.?
Thanks for your feedback! smile.gif

Are you still looking for feedback on p90x?

Not sure if you're still looking for feedback but I did P90X for 1 1/2 rounds (had to stop half way through the second round because I sprained my wrist). It's not bad, but I'm not found of working out for 1 hour a day and the Yoga for over an hour was more aggravating because I have 3 young kids.

I'm a big fan of Turbo Jam (lost 34 lbs with the help of TJ!) and currently I'm on my second round of Chalean Extreme which I love way more than P90X.

I saw the infomerical for this last weekend and was curious about something. A chin up bar? I have nowhere to put something like that. I live in a 1 bedroom condo with only 2 doors (bathroom/bedroom) and would not want this on either of those doors. Seems like an odd item, not many people have them in their houses already do they?

I love P90X! It is definitely a time commitment, and is not for a beginner. I worked out really hard before, but this is really challenging. I am on my 6th week & I can see major changes in my muscle tone. I love the mix of strength training & cardio, I am really sore after every workout.

If you don't have space for a pull-up/chin-up bar, you can use bands to do all of these moves. Tony Horton shows you how to do all of the pull-ups using the bands as an alternative.

Tiffany I'm a Chalene Johnson lover!!! haha! I have every single Turbo Jam workout, Chalean Extreme and Hip Hop Hustle. I even teach Hip Hop Hustle classes now. I also have P90 and P90X. P90 is too boring for me...I can't do the same workout for 45 days straight. BLAH!!! I did P90X and I like the workouts, but I wasn't seeing any results. Plus the cardio there compared to TJ was just a yawn for me. Tony Horton is a hoot though....

I've gone back to TJ now and I can say that after a week I am already noticing a difference in my "fluffy" spots (that P90X were not hitting). I have been doing TJ for about 7 years now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I've struggled with my weight a few years ago and it helped me get from 150 to 115 (and abs like Britney Spears) in just under a year. I got back up to about 135 and now I'm on my way back down to my 115 mark.

But TJ is definitely one to do if anyone is looking for a FUN workout!!!!!

I am a gym rat......but I tried to work out at home and used the P90X tapes. The yoga annoyed me but only because I practived Bikram for some time. I'm old school and think yoga should be more meditative and healing. I do strength training 4x week. I disected the P90 upperbody routines into 3 seperate workouts. It's working very well. I have never had such amazing results in my arms and shoulders. If your disciplined enough to work out in your home you should have great results with this.
