I was doing well, then BLAMO life got stressful and I have fallen off big time. We're getting ready to close on our first house and so i've been under stress and getting ready to pack. It's exciting stuff, but for like a month (when still on the program) i'd lose a pound one week, gain 2 the following, then lose one pound. It's this horrible yo-yo thing. This happens with every attempt at losing weight, I can lose 15 pounds, then BAM, brick wall and i'll do this one pound, gain it back, lose one, gain it back.....I'm so frustrated that i'm going through all this money and this is happening again. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Aloha K,
I totally relate to your post- thanks for sharing. Life has gotten a bit hectic for me too. I am in the middle of a hectic move, started dating a fabulous person, and work (I am an RN) has been requiring almost mandatory overtime lately. Yeah I have been busy but most honestly, after being 20 lbs down and people starting to notice the difference in my appearance, I think I got a lil full of myself perhaps thinking that I could do this on my own. I started missing JC appts, skipping JC meals for "healthy" dining out options and making excuses not to get to the gym. Well, 3 weeks of this behavior has me vascilating between 210-207. This up and down "progress" has only reinforced the fact that I cannot do this alone. Not now- not yet. Today at weigh in- (up a pound) I rededicated myself to JC and to me! I deserve to be out of the 2's.... i deserve to be fierce and strong, sexy and healthy. I deserve to be the beautiful and athletic woman I want to be.... You deserve it too... Imagine you in your new house in your ideal size feeling fabulous and new! I can see it! For now, let's let the past stay where it belongs. Today is a new day. The program works- we just have to work it!
Good luck and take care...

Yes, this has happened to me. Is there something you were doing before when you were losing weight that you are not doing now? For example, eating the foods on your day at the right times? Are you not eating snacks? Waiting to eat until you are hungry? If you eat to prevent hunger pangs you will keep your metabolism up and are more likely to lose weight. Your body is also adjusting - if you have always lost 15lbs and then abandoned your diet, you have trained to body to stop trying. It is comfortable now and needs a kick in your exercise routine. If you are walking half an hour a day, then you must increase your time by small intervals or try something new (the resistance bands that they sell at the center are awesome). I know you feel stuck in a rut and helpless - that was me last week - but by completely following the program to the T (I highly suggest eating every 2 hours) you will continue to lose weight. Other people lose faster than us and that is ok for them. You need to think about you. Good luck.

Funny thing about losing weight... you can't buy the scale's results. You can purchase advice, you can buy healthy foods, but you can't buy the numbers on the scale. So... don't let it add to your stress.
Do your best to follow the plan and give yourself a pat on the back. Take a break now and then to stretch and pace amid the packing. Jenny's motto about "progress, not perfection" can apply in so many ways.
You can do this... just keep putting one foot in front of the other... and get through the rollers. Rooting for you, here!

Hello All.
This is my second go round with JC. I didnt make it very far the first time. Right now my long term goal is 77lbs but that could change the closer I get to it.
Good luck everyone.

That is sooo true! I have been up and down a pound or 2 for the last month. But I have not been following the plan to the T. I feel the same way, people started noticing how much I've lost and I think "hey, i can do this on my own!" NOT! I was up 2.2lbs this week and am now determined to recommit myself 100% back to the program. No more slip ups! We all can do it!!!!

I definitely feel your pain! I "quit" jenny back when i was buying my first home (22 and dropping a small fortune on a condo... stressful!) and decided I didn't need the "stress" of constantly being down 3 lbs then up 4 lbs, it was wacky.
I definitely regret it! I quit Jenny with 10 lbs to lose till goal (I was at around 160). In under a year (quit in April, started again in December) I had gained back ALL the weight plus ten lbs (started back up at 219!!!)!
Stick with it, it may be depressing watching the scale do the bounce-around but it still keeps you in check, and nothing is worse than realizing that all your hard work has gone out the window. It comes off so much slower the second time around!!!
