Hi all!

I'm considering JC and want to know how the cost of food is. Can anyone tell me how it works? Do you order online and it's shipped to you? I don't have a JC center in my city so I don't know how it would work. Is the food good? Is it all you eat or do you mix in your own foods too?
Really concerned about the cost... : /

On average you will spend $20 dollars a day if you followed the planned menu. Since you do not have a center in your town, you would be doing the Jenny Direct and probably buying two weeks worth of food at a time.
You can lower your costs by going with more shelf stable items and working with your JCC on perhaps breakfast substitutions.

Like the previous poster said, you can plan on about $20 a day for food. Since you will be doing Jenny Direct, you need to add another $20 per week for shipping costs. So, you are looking at between $500-$600 a month. If you do shelf stable only (rather than the frozen food) you can bring that down to around $450 or so per month.
You don't order the food online, once you sign up you will get a weekly 15 minute consultation. Once a month, you will spend about 5 minutes of that time placing your order with your consultant.
The food is very good. Most people prefer the frozen over the shelf stable items. Aside from the Jenny food you add your own fruits, vegetables, and milk servings. When you get to your half way point you start adding in your own meals by using the "Halfway Menu". At that point you will do 5 days on Jenny and 2 days on your own with guidance from your consultant. When you get to your goal weight you will then transition to your own food entirely.
You can call Jenny Direct to discuss all of your questions and the various plans available. The JD number is 1-800-536-6922

Sunshine, with your health history, they will need to get your doctor's OK. Depending upon what drugs you are taking, and the nature of your health problems, you may need to wait until they hear back from your doctor before you can start. If you can get a permission slip from your doctor before you go for the first consultation, it might help you get started quicker.
