I'm new here (on my 2nd week) and I'm planning my own meals. My question is can you only order a max of 7 of everything? I hear people mention "stocking up" on an item before it goes away.

You are allowed to order from JC whatever you want.
If you want to get from them 10 of one item you can get it. Just ask.
It is great if there is a temporary item you really like and want to get a bunch of them to have on hand.
Or if you want to have extra dinners or snacks around just in case you need them.

Hi,
I also plan my own menu. I always order extra of what I really like. I don't want to be where I HAVE to have a certain meal for dinner because it's the only one left. I have to cook for my husband so if I am making him fish, I have the fish and chips. If he wants a hamburger - I take the salbury steak thaw it in the MW, wipe the sauce off of it, brown it in a non stick skillet and have my own hamburger. I toss the potatoes (don't care for them) and use the starch exchange for a bun. I found these wheat buns that are real thin (I think the brand is Arnold?) and they count for one starch same as the potatoes. Same as breakfast - sometimes I feel like cereal sometimes pancakes. I like to have choices. I keep a running tab on what I have on hand and for example when it's time for lunch I look at the lunch list and decide.
Your JCC should not care if you get extra - I believe she gets a commision on how much you purchase. Sometimes I feel like I am over stocked and don't get a lot that week. My JCC always understands.
Good luck everyone.
Joanne
