Hi,

This is my first week on JC and my weigh in is tomorrow morning. I am planning on seeing friends tonight for dessert at a cafe. I know I will eat my dinner before going and I plan on getting a fat free cappucino if they make it and drink some water. I would love to have dessert but I'm not sure what I can have. They have gelato but I'm sure thats not sugar free.

Any suggestions?

A small serving of gelato is roughly comparable to a JC dessert. You are also "allowed" a 250-cal splurge once a week or so on the JC program. So a small gelato even in addition to all of your JC food for the day would be fine.

Do all of the research that you can before you go. Find out exactly where you're going. See if they have a menu available on line. If not, call ahead. Ask what "light" options they offer. Being on a special diet is nothing anymore... be assertive and ask for what you need.

Above all, ENJOY!!

My JCC never told me that I am allowed a 250 cal splurge once a week? ..

Read your materials and ask your consultant about it. Some don't offer it up, especially early in your journey. Take charge of your own program and read everything you can. Don't wait for someone to tell you everything you might need to know.
