Boy - it's been a spring!

Spent March being sick and in hospital, which threw me off JC; April was spent nursing a sick dog who died of kidney failure at age 7 at the end of April - broke my heart; May was a financial mess and I got back on track this past Monday. I

gained and lost the same 5 pounds from March to May and managed to add 5 more in the past few weeks, so I'm 12 up from my lowest weight. Have already lost 3 of that and ready to get back on full time. Could sure use some encouragement.

I was faithful on JC from January thru March and lost 39 pounds. Once my Mr. Biggs died I started on the comfort food and it's been a real struggle to get back on track.

Thanks in advance for all the help and encouragement.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. That's so tough. My mom and dad have a dog that they got back when I was in high school and she is having liver failure and heart failure. It's so sad to watch them deteriorate. I'm so glad you came back and joined us, though, and I'm glad you decided to keep moving forward with your weight loss. I'm sure you'll get right back on track in no time.

Welcome back!!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Mr. Biggs. It's so hard to lose our little buddies. I've been through that more than once and it's always hard.

I understand your program struggles, too. I'm going through some really stressful stuff right now and haven't been on program one full day for over 3 weeks. I think because I've always turned to food for comfort, when things get tough, that's my first plan of action. Also, when I'm as exhausted as I am, it's hard to find some other way to fill that void other than food.

I think we could definitely encourage one another. I haven't gotten on the scale for 2 weeks, but I'm sure I've gained back some of the weight I lost. I am dreading actually getting on that scale and being faced with the results of my bad eating.

I think I'm just going to start out tomorrow resolving to take it one day at a time. Focus on getting on program and staying on it for tomorrow. I'm going to try not to think about the amount of weight I need to lose (it's alot!), but just try and focus on one day. Maybe that would work for you, too? I'm not sure what else to do - any thoughts or ideas you have would be greatly welcome!

I know we can do this! I just wish I knew how to turn off the "turn to food" button I evidently have when I'm stressed. There must be a way!

Take care and remember to focus on your successes!!
