Looking forward to hearing your stories, ideas, results...

Hi Annie,
I also have the Wii Active and have started the 30 day challenge, but life is too hectic right now to get on it every night. The challenge is great and it works your butt off... about 20 - 30 mins for two nights, then a night off, back on for two, etc. Works your body ALL OVER!
Have fun!

The 30day challenge is great. When you first turn on the game there is a 30day challenge button on the main screen. its 2 on, 1 off. It ranges from 15-30min and puts in lots of there exercises together. it kicks my booty and I love it. I got off track so today I am starting it over! you can make your own workouts on there too if you want, but i prefer the 30day set workouts

I just completed workout 15 of the 30 day challenge. Since it has you do a rest day every two days, there's only 20 workouts in the 30 day challenge. Since I had been walking for almost two months, I started my first workout on medium intensity, but literally could not walk the next day so I went down to easy for the next six workouts. I'm now back up to medium. The lunges and squats are really challenging, but I am starting to see some definition in my thighs. I love using the resistance bands and boxing is my favorite sport. I started JC on 4/2/09 and hope to hit my halfway point this week. I've lost a total of 21.2 pounds and 14 inches so far.

I started the 30-day Challenge last week, then missed a few days. Do I have to start over or will it pick up where I left off? Has anyone dealt with this yet?
Thanks in advance.

You can continue if you would like. Granted I do believe you will not meet all the goals. I missed a week from being sick and so I am just starting over! I think you can do either way.

actually it's designed not to do everyday. i did it everyday and was done with the 30 day challenge in about 20 or 21 days!! i've moved on to the custom workouts. i've programed a few. ie: one based on cardio/sports another focuses on lower body/ upper body etc. i love it

I have purchased this excerise program as well but only did a few things on the predesigned work outs...holy caramba!!!!!! It makes your booty work hard! I think this is a great activity game from Wii. I have Fitness Coach too and I love that too. I wanted this program just to change it up a bit so I will be also starting the 30 day challenge....
I recommend it to anyone that is wanting to have a great workout without the $$$$ for personal training. I had a personal trainer and to be very honest there wasn't really anything different he did with me that I am not doing on my own with the Wii excerise games. Matter of fact I am more motivated because I can work out at 5 am instead of 8:30 pm. I am not a night exceriser....
Good luck everyone!

I bought Wii Active last week after reading some of your comments. It's great! Even my husband, who is a runner, has found it useful. He just works on a much higher intensity than myself. It's definitely challenging (I have 100+ to lose.) but motivating.
Thanks all!

I just bought my Wii system, Wii Fit & Wii Active over the weekend. I thought the Wii fit was great and addicting when I first started out. However, I just started the Active 30 day program last night - "OMG" - I hate to exercise and I find I was having fun. Boy was I sore this morning - I worked muscles I didn't even remember I had. Try using them together - what fun!!

Hi,
I have a Wii and am debating getting a new fitness thing for it (though I have Wii Fit but don't use it that much....I get annoyed having to wait between exercises and it just takes too long).
With the Wii Active I notice in the reviews people mention running a lot. I have very bad knees and running is definitely not recommended. If I can't run, can I still use Wii Active? Or use it but not do the 30 day challenge?
A bit I am wondering if the Wii Fitness Coach might be better for me.

I wouldn't be concerned if you have bad knees. The great thing about Wii Active is that at the beginning of the pre-set work-outs, you have the option to "uncheck" or not do some of the exercises. The majority of a ~25 minute workout is actually not running, but other activities. Plus, you can customize work-outs as well to meet your needs.
I'm in agreement with everyone else...the Wii Active has been kicking my butt, but I love it. I think it's a lot of fun. I have tried almost all the Wii games that are geared towards exercising, and I by far like this one the best. I think it gives the best work-out. The other one that I like is the Jillian Michaels bootcamp game (this one is a lot of running in place that you can't really avoid - majority of the workout).

Thanks...maybe I will still get it. I did get Wii Fitness Coach yesterday and have used it once but am not sure if I like it. It's more like an exercise DVD than a game so I'm not sure if "fun" factors into it but maybe it gets fun at some point. I do think I like it a bit better than a DVD though am not totally sure why.

I like it better because it changes. I find myself thinking that after all of the times I've done a regular DVD program, that these people should be getting thinner!!

I get tired of listening to the instructor say the same things over and over and over.
I'm debating on whether to get the Wii Active now. I just finished my 2nd 1/2 marathon and although I do a run/walk, my body is used to the exercise. Going back to just walking isn't going to do much for me now but I need to give my body a rest from running.

I broke down and bought Wii Active Sports yesterday and tried it out today - wow it kicked my butt and that was doing the easy sports workout. It was fun though, I liked it much more than the Wii Fitness Coach.
I am going to try the 30 day challenge though I may not be able to start tommorrow...I have bad knees and they are killing me though I think it's more to do with all of the walking I've been doing.

First i did the 30 day challange on low intensity i got to nearly the end but never finished but a good work out fun too. I love tennis and boxing(especially if you are mad at some one) I;m right now currently on the 30 day work out and i kinda put it on high intensity and the very first day you had to do 68 squats and 52 side lunges but i did end up burning 200 calories in less than 20 min but its really fun even though the trainers can get a little annoying sometime with saying the same things!!

dont get me wrong its fun though!!
