A lady I met today told me that while she was on JC, she used diet pills to increase her weight loss every week. I can't remember what ones she said she used, but I didn't think that pills were encouraged to be used on the JC program. Has anyone used pills along with their diet and exercise to lose more weight?

Diet pills are bad news all around whether you are on JC or not. They're bad for your heart and cardiovascular system. Don't even go there!!!
They rev up your heart to get your metabolism going higher (which exercise will do just the same). But if you exercise while using them that puts more stress on your heart. There's just a whole bunch of reasons not to use them. Be safe and stick to the plan. You can't stay on diet pills forever, but you can make a lifestyle change forever.

I am losing 2+ pounds a week already on the plan, and the diet pills I was using half way through didnt reflect anything different. I had a killer headache when I stopped, I am pretty quick at losing weight when I focus myself, so I didn't really see a huge difference. They were pretty good at curving hunger, but then I found myself not eating properly. They were also good at keeping me "regular," but I couldn't sleep well. Honestly, for someone who has been taking them, I would say that they didn't improve anything, but I am not against taking them. Sorry if I am unclear, but I really don't have an opinion either way good or bad because they didnt have a huge effect on me!!!!!!

What do you mean by diet pills? There are a lot of different things out there that state they will help you loose weight---from your standard curb the hunger (basically caffeine pills), to diuretics (some of the green tea stuff) to some more dangerous combos. There is Alli, which blocks the absorption of some fats and is FDA approved. If you use Alli with JC, you should not have any of the “negative” side effects (loose poops!) because your fat consumption is at a good level.
If you want to use them, go ahead and use them. JC can’t tell you what to do to assit with your weight loss---I’d check the safety of any of the pills you choose to use---some are dangerous and some, like diuretics, only offer temporary results and you’ll rebound once you stop taking them. Alli is the only one that is FDA approved and shown to work. But know that they won’t add a lot to your loss and really, in the end, you want to focus on healthy living and habits.

Hey girls,
I am seriously considering getting some new diet pills...I've tried a bunch of different brands before, but they never seemed to have any effect on me, since apparently I am not sensitive to caffeine and the various additives most of them have. There is a new brand at my local health foods store (GNC), which I would like to give a shot though. I figure, I am eating well, and am within the last 10 pounds of my goal weight, so at this point I feel like I need to try different things to take it up a knotch...and sadly, I am too busy to add more exercise to my life right now. Have any of you tried brands that work well for you?

Don't do it girl.....I have a friend who is off work right now waiting for a heart transplant. She used and most likely abused diet pills! It's not worth it. Stick with JC meal plan, run, walk, join a bootcamp, get outh there and get moving. That's what I did and it worked for me!
