Hi. I started 7 weeks ago and have been very consistently losing an average of 2.3 pounds per week. This week I ate out a few times and went off the planned menu, but I only ate very healthy, low-fat options. When I got on the scale today and saw a 1.4 pound gain, I was mortified! I am very upset because now I feel like I'm two weeks behind instead of being ahead. Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks, Amy

Well luckily I haven't gained, but I stayed the same one week and I was not happy either. It can be water weight or that time of the month, could be anything.
Just keep on track and you'll be fine. You'll probably have a large loss next week. Try to get in a bit more exercise than normal and you'll feel better about it. Actually, try to do a different exercise routine because our bodies get used to the same one and then plateau.

I have had gains too! I think it happens sometimes! Last week one day the scale said I gained 3.3 pounds. I asked my JCC about it and she was saying something about fluids and having a big lose the week before. This week my WI is tomorrow and the scale says I'm up 2-4 pounds again, granted I did eat out off menu, but also I started breaking out and having some medical things before I started eating out when I first noticed the weight gain. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do. But always know tomorrow/next week is a new day and so look forward not backwards. thats what i'm doing tomorrow! Starting over. Fresh new day! It looks like you are doing AMAZING so far....CONGRATS!!!!

Lately, I have been up .5 one week and then down 1.5 the next week. I am not sure why but I just make sure that I stay on track and let my body adjust. Maybe your body is adjusting too.
Don't give up!

Hi! I congratulate you for your weight loss and small gain. I have been with Jenny for one year now and have had losses and gains. My counselor says that this is expected and not to get discouraged. Especially us women have issues with fluid retention and, if you are like me, medications and medical issues come in to play. Stay with the plan and you will be losing again and feeling good about yourself. Best Regards

It really could be anything from water weight to feminine issues. However, one tip that I got was to do some extra activity for each meal that I had beyond the menu. Which I did 15 minutes extra walking for each time I ate out, regardless of whether I used the Dining Out Guide. I hope that helps you.
