I'm sure there are problems occasionally with JD, but I've never had it happen to me. I live in Louisiana, so on my delivery days, I make sure to go home at lunch time and get my order inside, so it doesn't have a chance to thaw during our very hot summer days. Hope it goes more smoothly for you next time!

I've only had 1 screw up & they made it right, so that's okay. I also order a month worth of food in ONE shipment every time. Better insulation that way, as well as only having the hassle of receiving 1 shipment.

Oh no! So, how does Jenny Direct work? I assumed you could only do pantry foods... Sounds like they will ship frozen meals and desserts? I'd love to do it and save myself an hour of driving to the closest center, but I thought I'd be stuck eating all the dry foods. Please clarify if that is the case or not??? Thanks!

Hi - I started with JD about a month ago and haven't had any real problems. Some confusion when they automatically substitute some of the items, but I figured it out. I'm in Maine and things are still pretty cool up here so no trouble with thawing.

With Jenny Direct, you can get ALL of the food, not just the shelf stable items. It is packed in a Styrofoam cooler with dry ice and overnighted to you. You purchase the food either two weeks at a time or four weeks (even if you do four weeks you can still have it ship in two week increments) If you order four weeks at a time, you get a discount on the shipping cost, it ends up being $79 for the month or about $20 a week.
For the extra $20 you get the food delivered to your doorstep and the convenience of an "in home" consultation. It sounds like the closest center is an hour away from you, if that is the case, it might be worth the shipping cost to go with Jenny Direct.

I work for Jenny Direct and things like this do happen on occasion. Rest assured that they don't happen often, and as you have seen, when something goes wrong Jenny Direct will send you new food immediately! I understand your frustration but please don't let this unusual circumstance derail your goals. Just get right back on track when your new shipment comes and keep going. In the long run, this one mixup will not affect your progress. If you let your frustration take over and keep you from continuing, that WILL affect your progress. I know you didn't say you were thinking of quitting or anything but I have seen that happen which is sad because in the long run, two-three days without Jenny is not going to hurt you. Giving up because you are upset over the mixup WILL.

I also had a problem . This was my first shipment and the frozen food was barely cool. I am still waiting to hear back from from jenny Craig.
I am only using the dry or non frozen items. There was no dry ice left when it was delivered.

I have been on JD since day one and the ONLY problem I had was that they shipped a 2 week order of food TWICE to me!! That's right, I wound up w/4 weeks of food and wound up giving some away and keeping some. My neighbor and sister-in-law are both on JC, so they were more than happy to share it with me. I asked if they wanted me to ship it back, but they cannot take it back. biggrin.gif So I'd have to say, that really isn't a BAD thing. I have been EXTREMELY happy with JD and the only way I might switch is if I lost my consultant....she is AMAZING and I hope she is there for a VERY VERY long time, I absolutely love her! biggrin.gif

Good Morning:
I have been very fortunate. I have been on JCD for close to two months, and everything has been arriving on time and in tack.
Good luck

I used to go to a center and just recently started with the Jenny Direct. It's great! It's very convenient and there is no problem ordering and shipping the frozen foods. I really enjoy visiting with my counselor over the phone. You can E-mail her and get call backs for extra inspiration. It costs more for the shipping, however, it evens out with gas and wear and tear.
Good Luck

I've been on JD since August 2008 and only have had one major problem where I got food I didn't order and then didn't receive food I did order. However, they were kind, courteous and I received the correct food in 2 days! I have loved JD and couldn't do JC without it because the closest centre is 2 hours away. I'm sure your problem was just a fluke - mistakes happen - and I wouldn't let it deter me. Anytime I've needed something, I just call the phone number and they are more than willing to help.

Keep going!! You can do it!
