Does anyone do yoga for their exercise? I'm a member of Yogaworks and I go to what's called Vinyasa Flow Yoga 3-4 times a week. It's actually really instense and makes your heart race & your body sweat.
Any other yogis out there?

I like Kundalini yoga. I love all of Ravi Singh's and Ana Brett's dvds. I'm using the Fat Free Yoga, Yoga Bliss Hips, and Yoga for Beginners and Beyond. Yoga Beauty Body is probably my favorite.
I also like Yoga Journal's Step by Step Yoga 3 pack of DVD's.
I have done vinyasa flow using Baron Baptiste's dvd's and I really enjoy that as well.
I live in a small town and don't have access to live classes.

Sounds like you don't need one! Wow, lots of DVDs I've never heard of. I was using Karen Voight's workout DVDs for a while. She has a decent yoga one too.
I have the Quick & Slim Cardio, Calorie Burn & Get Firm Fast (in addition to the Yoga Power). If her other videos are any indication, I'm sure the pilates one is great! I was taking a pilates class at my gym for a while and loved it! Amazingly simply workouts that really kick your butt.

I love my Bikram yoga. It the hot yoga, and its a 90-minute class which I take religiously 6-7 classes a week. Generally I take class either before work at 6:15 am and/ or after work at 6pm. I love it!! Here is a pic of one of the advanced poses I was able to do.

I have always wanted to take Bikram yoga. My sister has been doing it for years. I just wish we had a class here. I have the book, but it's easier for me to do DVD's at home then read the directions and try to do it, turn the page, etc. I may give it a try thought - maybe a few pages a day.
Your weight loss is very inspiring. You look amazing.
My husband and I have talked about going to Punta Cana for one of our annversaries. We were looking at the Excellence Punta Cana hotel or the Palace Resorts one. I would love to hear about your trip when you get back.

JenGen- I am leaving on Thurs for my vacation to Punta Cana. I will def let you know how it was. I am staying at the Dreams resort.
Lacysmom- Thank you so much. As a teacher, you know that every body is different and we each have our strengths and weaknesses. I amaze myself with what my body is able to do with a little patience and determination with no expectations.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey, I love the hot yoga! I used to do Bikram when I was much much younger, but now go to Sunstone, same posture series for the most part.
I usually do 90 minute classes three or four times a week.
My favorite is a class with little instruction, but a series of music that really enhances and the voice announcing the postures.
I know it's helping me IMMENSELY!
