Is anyone doing any of the beachbody workouts? Which are your favorites? I love Tony Horton!!! Please share your experience with any of these workouts! Thanks, Lisa

I love Turbo Jam. I have never tried any of the Tony Horton workouts like P90X - I think I will have to work up to that. I am doing Slim in 6 right now - it is kind of boring, but I like that it combines cardio with strength training, so it is time efficient and it works. I'm going back to Turbo Jam after my six weeks are up.

I have Turbo Jam and Slim in 6... I kinda stopped doing those. I did P90 and then tried P90X... couldn't do the P90X, but for about 4 days... laugh.gif I then found out that I could have done the "lean" P90X... which is for losing weight, the one that I was doing was "classic" which pretty much kicked my butt!!! Thanks for answering.. Lisa

I started the slim in 6 two days ago. I am still walking funny today!!! I've integrated that routine in with the DVD that came with the sculpting bar for JC. My aunt bought Slim In 6 one night when she couldn't sleep...I ended up with it. I haven't tried any of the other ones, yet.

I am almost done with my first 30 days of ChaLEAN Extreme. I think it is a great program and I am really starting to see some muscle definition, especially since I am now about five pounds from goal. I also do additional cardio almost everyday of the week. After I'm done with ChaLEAN I plan to move on to p90X.

I would love to hear more about ChaLEAN Exteme. I really like her as an instructor and was thinking of giving that a try also before trying P90X.

ChaLEAN Extreme follows three phases, 30 days each - Burn, Push and Lean (when you complete those you can do the Lean for Life phase). I am almost done with the Burn phase. You work out five days a week, with three days strength training and the other two days incorporate cardio, flexibility and abs. The workouts are about 35-40 minutes each. I had been working with a personal trainer but it was getting too expensive, so I decided to try this. I have never really worked out at home, but I have really enjoyed this program. I did purchase the Select Tech weights that she uses (which aren't cheap), but I feel they were definitely worth the money. I specifically chose ChaLEAN because I much prefer outdoor activities in this nice weather and I am training for a 10K. It is a very doable program and you can certainly add in extra cardio. The workouts in P90X are 60 minutes and it sounded more intense, so for my purpose I felt that CLX would be the best program to start with and I'm very happy with my decision. Obviously since I am doing JC I have not followed the nutrition program but it looks very reasonable, although she recommends a higher protein intake. I'm a vegetarian, so there are a limited number of recipes that don't include meat, but some of them I will probably try. Good Luck!

I had some issues and I couldn't work out, but I am starting again today! I will probably start with the P90 and mix it up with either Sim in 6 and Gilad. When I first did Slim in 6, it totally kicked my butt.. especially the floor work!!! OMG... I started to cry!!! ohmy.gif

I thought about buying ChaLean... wasn't sure if it was something that I should start out with. I know that there is a fit test, but I wasn't too worried about that, since the fit test for P90X is something that I was able to do! thanks, Lisa

Thank you for this. I think that this is worth the money. I was going to buy The Firm Wave, but it was like $80.00 for 3 workouts and I just realized that you were paying for the "wave". My husband said, I could probably make that for you! Anyway, I'll relook at CLX. thanks for the all the info! Lisa

Hi! I just started working out AGAIN! I started with Tony Horton's P90. It's the one before P90X. I love Tony as he is a great motivator! This workout made me sweat, I guess I am really out of shape... It's a good thing I started over. Whew!!!

I just got CLX. I haven't tried it yet but I too am transitioning from a personal trainer to my own workouts and decided this would be a good program for me. I wanted to try P90X but I wasn't willing to put in the crazy amount of time that was required to stick to that program. Several of my friends are doing CLX and really like it so I'm sure I will too smile.gif

I have CLX, but I haven't worked out in so long that I was afraid that I couldn't do it and after doing P90 today; It's a good thing that I am starting over. I hope to get to CLX soon!! Let me know how you like it and how it's going. Lisa

I have the Tony Horton 10-Minute Trainer. Let me tell you, Tony will kick some serious butt even in 10 minutes! I love the Total Body Workout one. It gets you sweating and gets your heart pumping! If you are up to it, you can do the cardio workout afterwards. I tried that once and the next day wanted to cry just brushing my teeth! blink.gif
Anyway, it comes with 5 workouts: Total Body, Cardio, Abs, Lower Body, Yoga. You can mix and match according to how you are feeling. And yes, 10 minutes WILL make a difference. Of course 20 or 30 will make the difference faster... laugh.gif

Hi All!!! I swear I am a walking ad for BeachBody!!! I have P90, P90X, Turbo Jam (every single workout), Chalean Extreme, Hip Hop Hustle (a Chalene workout), Hip Hop Abs and Slim in 6. wow, that was a mouthful...

I really enjoy all of the workouts but I do have my favorites. I am a dancer/dance teacher for 20/14 yrs. Here is my thoughts on all of them....

P90-loved the workout but got bored really easily. No music and the same workout for 45 days is just not my thing. variety is the spice of life!!! But I did get good results off of it.

P90X-LOVED this workout! Cardio X is a little yawn for me (compared to cardio from TJ). But I LOVE LOVE core synergistics and kempo X (my personal fav.). I was doing the lean but after 2 months, didn't lose any weight or inches. I'm a little confused by that one, but I did build stregnth and endurance.

Turbo Jam- MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WORKOUT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!! I have been doing TJ for 7 years and I get the BEST results w/ this program. Plus I love the music with it and the choreography (I am a dancer). I got do 115 at my lowest (July of last year) and had abs like Britney Spears. No joke. I'm back to TJ again now (after working at a restaurant, I got up to 135 but on my way back down.)

Chalean Extreme-LOVE LOVE LOVE this workout also. I'm just a Chalean Fan!!! I like the results I got with this after doing TJ. TJ got me down and burned the fat and the Extreme just ripped me up like no other. I think those are the two best combination together.

Hip Hop Hustle- Not a BeachBody workout, but is Chalene's from her company Powder Blue Productions. You can do this as a home workout or at a gym. I'm certified to teach it, so I teach the adults at the dance studio I work at. This is a super fun workout. Not as intense as TJ or CLX but def will get you to work up a sweat! Plus it's super fun!!!!

Hip Hop Abs- Not as challenging as the others but it's a great abdominal workout to add to the other programs. I like to do Shawn's workout along with TJ (alternating his with AB Jam). Has an AWESOME bun and thigh workout!!!

Slim in 6- I liked this but was boring for me. I like crazy high energy workouts (in case you didn't notice) but it was a challenge for me though!

I don't know if these help anyone! But TJ and CLX are my all time favorite workouts. I've got all of my family and friends on them too!!!

Cheers!
Danielle
