Hi All:

I guess I'll start the forum for this month. Hope everyone is doing well. May is a great month to get out and get moving. I plan on starting to walk more and I'd love to start biking with my son.

I just had my 5 week WI and lost another 2.5 lbs. My short term goal is my HS reunion coming up in June. It's been 25 years and there are a lot of people I haven't seen since then. I'm proud of my life and know we don't all stay at our HS weight, but I'd like to feel more comortable in my skin.

Thanks to everyone who posts each week...keep then coming, I look forward to them.

Shimmy 22,

I've had those weeks, where the temptation is there. Good choice, just throw it out. Next week will be better....just keep with it and it will pay off.

Although I just started the Jenny Program, I know that everyone has had a bad week...The important thing is that you did something about it and you know that you are still motivated enough to continue with the program

Hi! I guess I should maybe make a short term goal, huh? Looking at it like this is hard, especially since it's been tough for me to hang in there lately . .

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! Thank you for the words of encouragement. It really means alot. I went with my mother, sister, neice, nephew and my boys for dinner yesterday at Brio. It was great I ate a salad, and a flatbread margarita pizza (1/2 only) and a glass of wine and a chocolate cake in their expresso cups everything was delicious!!! Now that the Mother's Day is out of the way. Back on track!!!!!.

Have a great day!

Good Monday Morning!

So, I guess I sort of belong here now. I am never sure how these things work, but I originally had 106lbs to lose and am at 76.2lbs left to go... so that makes me a new member of the 40 - 80lbs to lose group! Hope you will have me!!

Just a brief introduction... I am on my second go-around of Jenny Craig, my first was very successful and ended only when I found out that I was pregnant with my first! My son was born in July 2007 and I gained a lot of weight during both pregnancy and post-partum mat leave... I am here to get healthy for both myself and my son. I have been married for 5-years (this summer) and live in Southern Ontario (Canada). I began this Jenny journey on Feb 20th, 09 and have lost 29.8lbs in 11-short weeks! YAH!! laugh.gif

I am about to re-commit myself to the exercise portion of this program now that I feel I officially have the food part down pat. My goal would be to complete the Couch-to-5K (C25K) program, but will take anything I can.

Anyways, I hope to be able to connect with all of you for both inspiration and motivation!

Thanks!! biggrin.gif

Hey everyone. Today is my first day back on Jenny and I'm looking forward to losing this weight and getting healthy! I have almost 50lbs to drop and it seems like a lot of weight, but I know if I just take it day by day I can do it. I feel really motivated to see the program through this time! There's nothing standing in my way of success and I know it's time to just get this weight off for good! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing about your successes.

I have 69 lbs to lose. I got started in April but then had surgery and have not lost a thing. So I might as well start fresh in May!

Hi!
I don't know if I can jump on here but thought I might say Hi! I started back in April 2009 and have lost 7.2 pounds in a very hectic month. I have been sick and the kids have been sick and the baby has the chickenpox so it has been a crazy month. I went away for 6 days and still lost weight so I'm pretty happy even with all the challenges the weight is coming off. I have a total of 68 pounds to lose to meet my goal, now 60.8lbs. I'm just looking for some encouragement and how to make this work in the real world. Life really never slows down so I'm just trying to work the plan as best I can. God Bless, Kirsten

Hello, everyone!!
It has been a slow process for me so far, since joining JC. I have lost 11 pounds though! That means I have 67 pounds to go. I know that things will start speeding up for me now, since I can admit I haven't done a very good job staying on the plan. I am finally in the right mind set to do this, and am actually looking forward to my weigh-ins!
I always say that I am carrying around "baby weight". That is true, (in a way), since my pregnancy is when I first gained the weight. Unfortunately, my son is almost 15 years old!! smile.gif
It has been 15 years of " I'll start tomorrow"!!
My goal weight is set to the approximate weight of what I was before I got pregnant all those years ago. It's actually about 5 pounds lighter. To think that I used to think I was fat at 140. I look at pictures now, and wonder what the heck I was thinking!
Anyway.......I'm not sure if I will get down to the 135, because it's been so long I am not sure where I really want to be. Maybe 140-145 will be the right number...I don't know.
All I know is that we can ALL do this if we stick to the plan. smile.gif

Goos to hear from all of you. I've been on JC almost 8 weks now and down 14.5 lbs. It's starting to level off so I know I have to add more activity.

I agree with you "micksgirl" in that before I had my kids I weighed around 130-135 and there was a point when I cried when I weighed 150 after the birth of my 1st son. Now my highest weight was 198 before starting the plan and I'd do anything to be back at 150. My ultimate goal is 140, but I'd settle for 150.

Hang in there everyone and keep posting. I like to read what you are all doing.

Hi,

Where is everyone this month. I'd love to hear from the rest of you that need to lose 40-80 lbs. I just finished my 9th week on JC and I'm down 19.5 lbs. It's slow and steady and I love it! I'm feeling really good, I have more energy and I'm noticing it in how my clothes fit. I'm going to have to soon buy new pants.

My biggest motivation right now is my oldest son's graduation from Basic training in July. He came home from college and left a week later for the Army, so he has not seen any of my weight loss. I haven't mentioned it to him in any of my letters, I want it to be a surprise. I'm hoping to be down to 165 by 7/15.

Let me hear from you.....you all help to keep me motivated.
