Am I missing is it or is there a way to tell the Dinners and Lunches apart . I keep having to look at the website to see what's what ? Can't tell which are the dinners and which are the lunches.....I know I will get to know as time goes on but just curious am I missing something ????
Also when I got home from the center and was putting foods away had a hard time with what was frozen and what wasn't .
Jenny C. needs to label these packages better.

You are right..you'll kind of just figure it out as you go. But no, I don't believe there is anything on the packaging that tells you..unless I'm missing it too smile.gif
About the frozen and shelf stable stuff...my JCC usually does different bags...frozen, shelf stable/snacks. I usually have 2 frozen bags and 1 non frozen bag.
By any chance is your JCC doing that and maybe you aren't noticing?

Good luck!

Actually, the new packaging IS labeling what type of food it is. The light blue packaging says "breakfast time" on the blueberry pancakes, "snacktime" on the choclate chip cookie and cheddar popcorn, and "dinnertime" on the beef chili. As for tips on the current foods, your invoice will have what is frozen and what is shelf stable listed in order (shelf stable on top of the list) and Frozen Items on the bootom of the list. Also, I found it helpful to look at my menu for the week and as I put my food away, I would use a permanent marker to mark "D" on the dinner selections and "L" on the lunches so that I could interchange meals if I didn't feel like eating what was planned on a certain night. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your help and tips.
I will mark everything as I unpack and am glad Jenny is labeling the newer foods .

I always have them put my Frozen things in an Insulated Zippered bag/pouch? and the shelf stable things? in a Canvas Eco-friendly Grocery bag smile.gif keeps things simple as I just stick the Canvas bag into the pantry?
The frozen items I go thru and check them off my Menuplanner as I go and mark a little F on the Menuplanner? that way I'm not rummaging thru the freezer for a shelf stable item?

once I have checked off the frozen items? i sort them according to how they will be used up during the week?( things towards end of week down at the bottom) and transfer them into yet another Canvas bag and just stick the whole thing into my Freezer.

I like to go over the Invoice myself again when I first get home because they have been known to goof up every now and then and either miss an item? or give me a wrong item? or charge me for one thing I might not have received etc?
Doesn't happen often as we DO call them off as they pack things? but it does every once in awhile. That way? if I need to? I can contact them and either go and pick up the missing item? or plan a substitution so I don't have surprises come Meal time. smile.gif
