Hi Everyone,
I just had my WI today and I only lost .8 lbs (but its better than nothing!) I believe that a little loss is still a loss no matter what (its definitely something I need to remember and its a good way to look at small losses when they do happen).
Anyways, I talked to my consultant today regarding new permanent JC foods coming in April (may be mid, end of the month or sooner depending if you are in Canada or the USA and when the stock becomes available). I got to see what some of the new foods will be that will be coming in since I am needing to take precautions due to being allergic to seafood (not the Tuna Kit, everything including anchovies which makes me unable to eat the beef & barley stew and turkey chili). Here are some of the new permanent foods coming in:
- Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie
- White Cheddar Popcorn (the plain one will be discontinued)
- Zesty Tortellini Soup
- Blueberry Pancakes with Sausage (The pancakes in this are whole wheat and sausage may be a veggie one... ask your consultant)-This will be taking over Silver Dollar Pancakes and Veggie Sausage
- Spaghetti and Meatballs (this has been on JC before and they are making this permanent)
- Toffee Cookies (different from Toffee Bites)
- Classic Chicken Noodle Soup
- Turkey Club Panini (this was also a temp JC item before and this will now be permanent as well and its improved)
- Beef Chili
- Beef and Barley Stew (check with your centre)
- Cinnamon Twists (they were originally temporary and will now be permanent along with the other items listed)
- Honey Mustard Pretzels
I will post any more info if I find out any. Please feel free to add any info you may get from your consultants as well. The menu templates will also be improved along with the menu with the foods that are available.
NOTE: Foods that are discontinuing may be available in some centers until their stock with certain items runs out. So restock on any favourites while you can!

Thanks for this information. Something to look forward to. Every week I ask my JCC if they have any spaghetti because everyone raves about it and I've never tried it. Then she always says, "No spaghetti, sorry." It has gotten to be a joke between us about no spaghetti. We'll have a good laugh when they get it in...
The blueberry pancakes will be a nice change. I don't care for the current ones. I like the veggie sausage okay, but the pancakes are chemical-y tasting.

Thanks for the info! And I've had to adopt the same philosophy on a little loss is still a loss. That's one thing I've found on JC, is that it's a slow but steady process with this program. But on the occasions when I've gone off program, the weight hasn't flown back on like when I've varied from others in the past.
I'm glad to hear the spaghetti is coming back. I kind of whined a little when my consultant told me it was being discontinued.

Keep up the good work!

I like the silver dollar pancakes because it seems like I'm getting more, but the blueberry pancakes sound good too.

My JCC told me on Wed that there will be a new Chicken and Corn Chowder, she mentioned that there are supposed to be a lot of new soups but that was the only specific one she could remember. Soups for summer? I love soup but it seems a little odd for spring/summer time frame.
She wouldn't tell me what was being discontinued, but since I heard rumors of the spin and cheese tortellini, tortilla soup and toffee bites being discontinued I'm stocking up now!

I am so glad they are going to get a chicken noodle soup, they are discontinuing the homestyle chicken and noodles which was the closest to it. They are also discontinuing the potato soup and vegetable soup. I am bummed by the pancakes, they are my favorite breakfast

well, I guess I joined at the right time....I have been on JC for the past 1 month and by April it will be 2 months and that is great timing with new stuff coming into the menu. It will really keepme motivated to stick with it.
I ain't to sad about discontinuing the homestyle chicken noodle. I had it for the first time yesterday and blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Other items sound really good though and can't wait to try it....hope it comes soon to canada...

I was wondering if the food came out today since it was the first? I go in Friday to get my food and was curious if I would be able to purchase the new items? I hope the blueberry pancakes are good, because the silver dollars are one of my favorite. I am looking forward to the soft Chocolate Chip Cookie also!
Update: I went to purchase my food today and the new food was not available yet. But I was told that the next time I come back it should be out, (I go back in two weeks). Also the sausage will the blueberry pancakes will be veggie sausage.

Just a question for all of you.
HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THIS??
I never get told any of this information!! When the pocket guide changed...regarding the proteins/milk equivalents...I was'nt told.
Even when I asked if anything changed.
I guess I haven't been losing enough for my consultant(s) to 'bother'. I really enjoy all the food... but I'm not losing at a fast enough pace, I think, so they make a bit from me for food costs.

I just got back from my weigh in and JCCs were so excited because some of the new foods were in.
I bought;
Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie (the hard crunchy ones are being discontinued)
White Cheddar Popcorn (It's a full sized bag!!)
Spaghetti and Meatballs (after all the good reviews, I can't wait to try it)
Classic Chicken Noodle Soup (homestyle chicken is being discountinued)
Turkey Club Panini (I'm not a big fan of the frozen paninis at the grocery store, we'll see how this one fares)
Beef Chili (it comes in a microwavable bowl, and it's almost a dollar cheaper than the turkey chili)
Honey Mustard Pretzels
Toffee Cookies (My consultant says that they are identical to the Toffee Bites that are being retired, only difference is the packaging)
Zesty Tortellini Soup
Blueberry Pancakes with Sausage (they are more expensive than the Silver Dollar Pancakes, I guess you're paying for the whole wheat and blueberries)
In May they are bringing raspberry twists for a snack and aloha beef for dinner. June, they are coming out with a strawberry shortcake. I can't wait!
I will be back with reviews of the new foods later in the week.

I received a big post card from Jenny Craig outlining the 13 new menu choices available April 13.
Blueberry Pancakes & Veggie Sausage
Classic chicken noodle soup
Zesty Tortellini Soup
Beef and Barley Stew
Turkey Club Panini
Creamy chicken & Corn chowder
Beef chili with beans
Spaghetti with Meatballs
White Cheddar Popcorn
Honey Mustard Pretzels
Toffee Cookies
Soft chocolate Chip Cookie
Cinnamon Twists
Part of the postcard has a coupon for a FREE DAY of Jenny Cuisine (*$65 minimum food purchase. Offer expires 5/1/09). I bet this only applies to re-enrollees. On the card it says 'When you come back now, you can even lose weight over the phone.'
Tuesday, I better check with my consultant about my membership, since the system should show me as a member.

Try all sound good. I just hope that th Fajita Chicken Salad kit is not like the other tuna and chicken salad kit. I hope JC does something a little different with it.
Aloha Beef- I just can't wait. I love the beef chew main, so I hope I like this.
I love love how JC is coming out with all these new food. JC keep them coming.

Well in that case I'm glad I purchased TWO S&M's.

Having one of 'em for dinner now. The spaghetti is a bit on the thin side, almost like angel-hair pasta (well maybe not THAT thin) but tasty! Meatballs are pretty good too. I did what I usually do with the pasta entrees and added mushrooms sauteed in a little Pam olive oil spray. I will definitely be ordering this one again.
I probably will
never buy the popcorn - when I can get 100 calorie mini-bags of Orville (fewer calories) quite a bit cheaper! I'm not a big fan of cheese-flavored popcorn anyway. The big soft cookie I did get ...today is my jenny day so I haven't yet had the opportunity to try the new stuff yet - one of my coworkers (who is also on JC) had the tortellini soup for lunch yesterday and it looked pretty good so I took a chance and bought one today. Hope it turns out good because it would be nice to have an edible lunch option that I can stash away in my desk...the JC soups I have tried in the past have been disappointingly, notoriously bland so hopefully they've gotten away from that.
Pancakes - I prefer to have either cereal (mixed with Light & Fit Yogurt and a minibanana), BK scramble (with mushrooms and spinach added) or in a pinch the Breakfast Stuffed Sandwich, I'm not really big on pancakes. Maybe one day I'll try 'em.
I also bought the Beef Chili w/Beans and the Turkey Panini.

I'm a big risk taker this week!
